Spectrum goes down in several US states with users reporting total blackouts

American cable giant Spectrum is experiencing widespread outages in the US.

Customers in Dallas, New York City and Boston have reported problems, as have residents of Tampa who were ravaged by Hurricane Milton overnight.

Downdetector, a site that monitors outages, shows that landlines have been disrupted, but some users have reported complete power outages.

Downdetecor’s websites show that Spectrum has been experiencing issues since Wednesday morning, but a flurry of outage reports were issued around 8:25 a.m. ET.

About 45 percent of users cited landline issues, 31 percent experienced total blackouts, and 24 percent of customers couldn’t get a signal.
