Spain captain Alvaro Morata SPLITS from model wife – who he dedicates every goal to – after seven years and four children together, as she hits out at ‘lies’ about ‘third parties’

  • Alvaro Morata and Alice Campello have separated seven years after their marriage
  • The Spanish captain and his Italian wife both released statements on Monday
  • Morata and Campello both insisted their split was not the result of infidelity or ‘any form of disrespect’

Former Chelsea and Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata and his wife Alice Campello have separated after seven years of marriage.

Morata confirmed their split in an Instagram post on Monday, writing: “After some time of reflection, Alice and I have decided to separate. A GREAT and RESPECTFUL mutual relationship in which we have loved and helped each other very much.

‘They were wonderful years and the result of that are our four children. They are without a doubt the best thing we have ever done.

“It is a painful decision, so we ask for respect and empathy. Do not make up stories for a minute of prominence, because I repeat: there has never been a lack of respect, only a lot of ongoing misunderstandings that are wearing away at the whole thing little by little.

‘Alice will always have a special place in my heart and everything we experienced together was incredible and educational.’

Meanwhile, Campello wrote: ‘Alvaro and I have decided to separate, and it is the most difficult decision we have ever made in our lives. I want to make it clear, as he has done, that there have been no third parties or any form of disrespect from either of us.

“I can only say that in these 8 years I have had a person at my side who has only put me first, cared for me and respected me. For that reason, I cannot allow any kind of false speculation and the decision to announce it “so soon”.

“I don’t want you to think that everything you’ve seen in the Instagram photos we’ve posted is a lie. We couldn’t have loved each other more, and we continue to do so, but there comes a time when many misunderstandings pile up, are mismanaged, and things gradually deteriorate and explode.

‘We always promised each other to respect everything we’ve been through, to never get to the point where we hurt each other or are toxic, and to end the relationship before that happens. And that’s what we did.

“I want to thank Alvaro for everything he has done for me, for the way he has cared for me, for the father and husband he has been, and I wish him ALWAYS the very best.”

The confirmation of their split comes less than a month after the two were spotted kissing on a beach during a family holiday in Sardinia.

Campello was also photographed by her husband’s team after leading Spain to victory in the 2024 European Championship final on July 14.

However, Campello did not join Morata when he recently travelled to northern Italy to join up with his new AC Milan teammates.

Morata, who left for Milan after two seasons at Atlético Madrid, was spotted without his wedding ring as he signed shirts for Milan fans.

Campello, an Italian influencer, has now removed her husband’s name from all of her social media bios.

She changed her name online from ‘Alice Campello Morata’ back to ‘Alice Campello’.

Morata has dedicated every goal to his partner in recent years, with his trademark ‘A’ celebration becoming increasingly well-known among fans.

They have three sons, including twins, and a daughter.
