Southern Charm fame Danni Baird has announced she is expecting her first child with husband Nicholas Volz.

The 39-year-old former reality TV personality – who called off her wedding to Todd Baldree in 2017 – shared the news via Instagram on Thursday.

She spoke to her more than 300,000 followers through a heartfelt birthday tribute to her husband, writing, β€œWishing the happiest birthday to this handsome father-to-be. @nicholas.volz.’

The Charlotte artist added, β€œI can’t imagine sharing this incredible journey with anyone other than you. I love you and have a hunch that 39 could be your best year yet xo.”

Included in a carousel of images was a snapshot of her holding a copy of her ultrasound.

Baird’s icy blonde hair flowed over her chest as she showed off her burgeoning baby bump while wearing a blue dress.

She flashed a wide grin as she posed next to Nicholas and friends.

Baird had not previously shared photos of Volz on her Instagram grid, keeping their relationship private.

She was not a full-time cast member on the Bravo TV series, but appeared several times between the 2014 and 2021 seasons.

Baird made headlines in July 2017 after calling off her wedding two weeks before the event.

Shortly after, she was spotted vacationing in Cancun, Mexico with Stassi Schroeder from Vanderpump Rules, who also recently got out of a relationship.

Reflecting on the aftermath of the break-up, she said: β€œIt was traumatizing for a few months.

“But you get to a point where you can recognize someone’s strengths, and you can recognize someone’s faults, and they’re not your own.”

She thoughtfully continued, “And I just appreciate the things that I love about him, and I just choose to keep that close to my heart.”

The mother-to-be added at the time: β€œIt was obviously heartbreaking. It probably took me a good four months before I started talking to him again. But we were engaged. We were about to get married. It was a big leap.’
