South Carolina was crowned national champion after defeating Caitlin Clark’s Iowa in the NCAA title game

South Carolina has rained on Caitlin Clark’s parade, with the Iowa superstar failing to end her college career on a high with an NCAA championship win ahead of the WNBA Draft later this month as the Gamecocks are crowned national champions from this year.

Guards Tessa Johnson, Kamilla Cardoso and Te-Hina Paopao combined to score 48 points in Sunday’s stunning 87-75 comeback victory at Rocket Morgage FieldHouse – home of the NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers – while Clark had 30 of his own.
