What’s the best soundbar deal?
As you might expect, the answer to that question will be different for everyone.
Some people are fine with a standard soundbar, which means no subwoofer and no streaming options. Others may want the sub, but not streaming. Then there are those who might want all of the above, plus two satellite speakers. It’s a situation where your mileage may vary.
That said, we can give you some good ideas on what to look out for and where to find those great deals when they pop up.
For most people, you really just want the basic package: a soundbar with a digital audio cable input that plugs into most modern TVs. You can get a little tricky with HDMI pass-throughs, RCA inputs and 3.5mm jacks, but sometimes basic is better. Of course, we also recommend looking for soundbars with an included subwoofer, that way you’ll get the full range of audio from your favorite TV shows and movies, not just the highs and mids.

Best cheap soundbar deals
The Yamaha SR-B20A Soundbar was released in 2020 to replace the popular YAS-107 from 2017. It may be a little more expensive than its predecessor, but the Yamaha SR-B20A is refined enough to warrant the increase. The compact form factor includes a pair of 75mm bass drivers, two 55mm midrange drivers at either end of the soundbar and a pair of down-firing twin 25mm tweeters.
The Yamaha SR-B20A is particularly notable for its highly detailed midrange – which is excellent news if you indulge in a lot of dialogue-heavy movies. Obviously you won’t be using the Dolby Atmos sound found in more expensive soundbars, but the SR-B20A does offer DTS Virtual:X 3D for a 3D surround sound that’s impressive in its own right.
If you just want to amplify your TV’s native audio, the Yamaha SR-B20A Soundbar is an economical way to achieve that.

The Roku Streambar is like giving your television a makeover. Not only does it enhance your TV’s audio with a fuller, clearer sound, it also infuses it with 4K/HDR streaming. It’s only 14 inches wide, making the Roku Streambar a fantastic choice for anyone living in an apartment or dorm room.
Wireless connectivity options include Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. A wired Ethernet connection is also possible thanks to the single USB port. Sonically, the Roku Streambar is very good, with clear dialogue and sound leveling for commercials. The bass is lacking, but you can fix that problem by purchasing the Roku subwoofer and rear speaker kits (sold separately).

The Razer Leviathan may be an older model aimed at gaming, but in reality it’s a very smart soundbar that costs less than most TVs – and it’ll make those TVs sound a lot better too.
Razer’s audio monster doesn’t have the most power per inch at just 30 watts, but we really liked how low it could go with the accompanying subwoofer. Plus, while other speakers on this list might not even try surround sound, Razer takes it in the old college and does a really good job with it.
The Razer Leviathan might not be as good as a true 7.1 system, but try to find one for under $199/£159. You’re getting a fantastic bargain here.

The LG SK8Y may not be the newest model on the market, but it’s still a great value soundbar. The soundbar has one of the most appealing designs we’ve seen; it fits elegantly under your television. Meanwhile, the accompanying sub has a more austere facade and can fit behind your sofa or under a dresser.
The sound quality and source flexibility of the LG SK8Y are worth what you pay for, and then some. In addition to Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, there’s also support for Chromecast plus Google Assistant controls. The screen on the soundbar isn’t too shabby either.
Unfortunately, this model appears to be no longer available in the UK. However, if you’re in the States, grab the LG SK8Y for a bargain while you can.
