Sophie Turner BLASTS Ozempic Weight Loss Ads Into NYC Subway Station — One Year After Actress Opened Up About Her Eating Disorder
Sophie Turner has been promoting the weight-loss drug Ozempic popping up in a New York City subway station.
The 27-year-old Game Of Thrones actress, who previously spoke candidly about battling an eating disorder in 2019, again shared a post on her Instagram stories showing the ads in the Times Square subway station.
The Twitter user who shared the original post captioned the photo: “The ozempic ads plastered over the Times Square subway station can be completely removed.”
Sophie added the caption, “WTF,” to her post about Hollywood’s favorite weight-loss drug — which was marketed as “a weekly shot to lose weight.”
The drug was initially developed for diabetics, but studies showed it had the added benefit of blocking hunger.

Ozempic is a weakened version of Wegovy, which is built specifically for obesity.
The weight-loss drugs — which are given as weekly injections for $1,000 a month — work by mimicking a hunger hormone in the body to trick people into thinking they’re full.
Celebrities including Elon Musk and Remi Bader have revealed that they used the drug to reduce fat. It is rumored that many other famous faces who have been looking slim lately have used them.
This comes 11 months after Sophie revealed she had a live-in therapist during the height of her eating disorder.
The actress admitted that the pressure of starring in the hit HBO series coupled with social media use “completely consumed” her.
Sophie confessed that she has since moved away from Instagram, saying comments are said to make her feel “fat” and “undesired”.
Speaking in a candid interview with El magazineSophie revealed she had a companion during her 2019 battle: “It’s a live-in therapist, who would make sure I wasn’t doing anything unhealthy with my eating habits.
“One night I played over and over in my mind a comment I’d seen on Instagram. I thought, ‘I’m so fat, I’m so undesirable,’ and I turned it off.”

Sophie explained how she had noticed that social media made her’incredibly anxious” and has since moved away from the apps.
She continued, “I wish I never got involved in it in the first place. I look at the comments on Instagram and think, “Oh, f**k. Everyone thinks this about me.” It would consume me completely.’
She revealed how she was forced to go into therapy when movie and TV studios pressured her to lose weight amidst her misery.
Sophie made the confession during an interview with Mary Claire Australia, where she explained, “Everyone needs a therapist, especially when people are constantly telling you you’re not good enough and you don’t look good enough.”
“I think it’s necessary to have someone to talk to and help you with that.”
However, Sophie did not specify which film or TV studios pressured her to lose weight.
