Sophie Monk shares how her Lego obsession is helping with her ADHD – and reveals she’s spent a fortune on it
Sophie Monk spends a fortune on collectible Lego, but she says it helps her concentrate.
The Love Island Australia star narrates this week’s issue women’s Day that the hobby, although expensive, is fruitful.
“Buying Legos is actually an investment because they sell for crazy amounts of money, so it’s one of my better financial decisions, I think,” the 44-year-old said.
She added that building Lego sets helps her manage her attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
“Because it keeps you busy with your hands and because you create a small world, you can really concentrate,” she tells the publication.

Sophie added that her husband Joshua Gross is just as much of a Lego nerd as she is.
“He’s also obsessed and has a Harry Potter collection, almost every F1 car and the Batmobile… and I have an ice cream van,” she says.
It comes after Sophie appeared on Channel Nine’s Lego Masters earlier this month.
Hidden beneath a helmet was Sophie, who gave ‘an absolute masterclass’ in karting, moments before revealing herself to the star-struck competitors.
The singer then gave advice to each of the teams.

‘You may find it a bit tricky, the chicane is quite tough… let’s hope you have a lot of downforce because that will allow you to take the chicanes and master the top corners if you can manage the understeer ,’ she said.
‘If you control the understeer, you’re just being sweet. It’s easy!’ she added.
Sophie completed The Bachelorette with Stu Laundy and the pair dated for six months before going their separate ways, and she has since found love with husband Joshua Gross.
Sophie and Joshua ran away to their home on the NSW Central Coast in March 2022.
