Al Perkins’ rambunctious personality has landed him a spot on Love Island Australia, and Sophie Monk says he’s a “perfect” fit for the show.
The reality TV host, 42, revealed that the Married At First Sight star’s rowdy demeanor made him fit right in on the set in Mallorca, Spain.
After seeing him on MAFS, Sophie knew he was meant for the villa, she said Yahoo ahead of the season four premiere on October 31.

“I looked at him on MAFS and right when I saw him I thought, ‘Why isn’t he on Love Island?’ because he never had a girlfriend when he got married.
“So I think it’s really good for him. He’s hilarious and he had a really good time. I don’t want to give too much away, but it was great for him.”
She went on to say that the casting decision to get Al on board was “perfect,” revealing that he wasn’t like some other reality TV personalities.

“He’s just a really sweet, innocent boy. He doesn’t have a bad bone in his body. He sometimes speaks without thinking, and I don’t even know if it will sometimes work, but he’s hilarious,” she said.
It comes after the first Love Island Australia contestants were revealed with just two weeks left until the 2022 series kicks off.
A gorgeous medical secretary, a professional dancer and a fashion student from Bondi are among the six gorgeous female contestants seeking romance in the Spanish villa.
Among the seven boys departing for Mallorca is a semi-professional footballer and self-proclaimed ‘mom boy’, as well as a 22-year-old TikTok rapper and a pool boy.

For the first time, the series will air only on 9Now – Nine’s online streaming service – with new episodes every day Monday through Thursday.
The upcoming season has already been labeled “fake” as the contestants have already filmed the finale.
The hit reality show has been shot with three alternate endings and different winners.
Only one will be shown on TV, meaning finalists won’t know if they’ve won until they sit down to watch the show with the rest of Australia.
Even sources within the show have said it may not be a good fit for audiences, as it “takes away integrity while the cast is acting and the reactions aren’t genuine.”
