Shedding light on her ‘near death experience’, Sophie said: ‘Someone who didn’t have a lot of curves, I was quite straight, I thought ‘omg this is amazing, I can go to Turkey for free and get a BBL and I see look like Kim Kardashian and have a great figure.”
Turkey has become one of the most popular destinations, fueled by celebrities and influencers who have made the four-hour journey in search of a body overhaul.
She added: ‘I was about 24 so I went to Turkey. When I arrived in Turkey I had the procedure and a few days later I looked at myself in the mirror and thought, “Wait, do I have to be so bruised?”
‘Also the holes in my back. I looked like a sieve. I only have burns on my back where they went through.
‘I also had liposuction because they promised me that my body would be great and that I would look great.
‘After the healing process, six to eight weeks later, I started having pain in my left buttock cheek and was in pain.
‘I was in Mexico at the time and even went to a hospital there. They put me on a drip and panicked. Everyone was running around.
“And they said it was an abscess in their body and if it burst, you would be dead.

‘I told them to book me a flight home because when I die, I want to die with my family around me.
‘So I was back to Newcastle. I went straight to the hospital. I had to stay there overnight, wake up in the morning and go straight to the operating room to drain this abscess growing on my butt.
‘They drained one liter of pussy. It was so traumatic. Packing was the worst pain in the world – I screamed out of the hospital.
‘It was just hell. I felt sick, I couldn’t walk, my whole leg was numb. I couldn’t even sit on it. It was just an absolute pain.
‘Eventually the wound healed, but there was a terrible fear that left behind a shark-like fear.’
Sophie told her horror story to warn young girls about the dangerous operation and the complications it can bring.
