Pregnant Sophie Cachia hints she will raise her third child as a single mother – amid speculation her AFL star ex-husband Jaryd is the sperm donor
Sophie Cachia announced the exciting news last week that she is expecting her third child, leading to speculation about her relationship status.
The 33-year-old influencer announced her pregnancy via Instagram last Wednesday and later confirmed that she is expecting a girl.
Sophie already has a son, Bobby, nine, and a daughter, Florence, seven, with her ex-husband Jaryd Cachia, an AFL star, whom she divorced in late 2019.
Sophie has now hinted that she will be raising her third child as a single parent, after responding to a fan’s congratulatory message on YouTube.
One fan wrote: ‘I think this is amazing for you and your family!! You are doing great on your own, you are already an amazing mother! Congratulations,’ to which Sophie simply replied: ‘Thank you so much!’
Her announcement of her pregnancy has also led to speculation about the identity of the father or sperm donor, with some claiming it could be a friend of hers.

“After Sophie announced her pregnancy, a lot of people were asking, ‘Who’s the father?’ I thought it was pretty obvious it was a sperm donor, given her previous situation with Maddie and the way they had gone through IVF,” they said.
“Maybe people were wondering who the father is, in terms of, is it a friend who donated the sperm,” they argued. “I think people are wondering, is it Jaryd or is it someone they know?”
“She has not confirmed any of this information and it is nobody’s business,” the sisters added.
According to the podcasters, Sophie has publicly said that she has already told Jaryd about her pregnancy, in an attempt to quash rumors that there is a rift between them.
Sophie divorced Jarryd in 2019 and they are still amicably co-parenting their two children.
After their split, Sophie had an on-again, off-again relationship with Matildas star Alanna Kennedy, but they went their separate ways in early 2020.

She was then engaged to Maddie Garrick for eight months, before shocking fans by announcing their separation in October 2022.
Sophie started a romance with footballer Sophie van de Heuvel, but the two reportedly split in January of this year after a year of dating.
They started dating in December 2022, but unfollowed each other on Instagram in January 2024.
They decided to spend Christmas and New Year apart, with Sophie posting snaps of her celebrations with her ‘chosen family’, with Heuvel noticeably absent.
The couple kept their romance relatively private throughout their relationship, with no one’s photo appearing on each other’s feed.
Earlier this year, Sophie was rumored to be dating an anonymous basketball player, but she hasn’t publicly addressed any new romances since her split from Heuvel.
