‘Please stop’: Sophie Cachia applauds reporters who ‘assumed’ her assistant was her partner after being photographed together
He’s still reeling from his most recent breakup.
And influencer Sophie Cachia is sick of journalists taking over and asking if any woman she’s photographed with is her partner.
The 32-year-old took to Instagram on Friday to share her thoughts on the matter while attending Virgin Australia’s Pride Flight event.
Sophie explained that her assistant, Caitlín Pilatti, is also a close friend and just because they are seen together doesn’t mean they are automatically in a romantic relationship.
‘In non-breaking news, today several respected journalists once again assumed that my assistant and dear friend was my partner, I can’t believe how many times this keeps coming up.

‘Journalists with all love and respect… please stop asking this question. The answer is no. And that answer will never change.
Sophie went on to say that it’s not fair for reporters to also assume the sexuality of their friends and while at a national Pride event.
“Just because I’m queer doesn’t mean I’m attracted to all women the same as straight people either, let alone my dear friends.”

Last week, the blogging mummy shared a touching post about his recent breakup with ex-fiancée Maddie Garrick.
‘Thank you to those who came by today. She was really surprised, so thanks for thinking of me,” she said, referring to followers of hers who had sent her kind words.
“I had tried to distract myself with the children and loved ones, but sometimes I still felt breathless,” she added.

Sophie was engaged to Maddie last year, but the relationship broke down after the athlete moved to Italy to work for a local basketball team.

The blogger was previously married to former AFL player Jarryd Cachia before coming out as bisexual and ending the relationship to explore his connection to women.
After his split from Maddie, he has stated that he is done with relationships and that the only things he wants to focus on in the future are his children and his career.
