Sophia Bush is changing her name following husband Grant Hughes’s divorce filing after just 13 months of marriage

Sophia Bush has removed the last name Hughes from her Instagram profile and reverted to her maiden name.

In addition to changing the name on her account, Sophia also deleted any trace of her husband Grant Hughes, 41, from the social media page.

The change comes after the 41-year-old One Tree Hill actress filed for divorce from the researcher on Friday, it said People.

A source told the publication, “Sophia and Grant were friends for 10 years and bonded during COVID over their love of community service.

“They continue to run their non-profit together and remain good friends.”

The two are founders of The Bush Hughes Foundation For Progress, which was created to “support organizations and individuals working for equality, social justice and advancement in the City of Tulsa,” according to the website of the non-profit organization.

The two had a great relationship with the city, as they got married in Tulsa in June 2022.

The split news comes just seven weeks after Sophia celebrated their wedding anniversary with a now-deleted Instagram post.

People reported that she posted a black and white photo from their wedding day with the caption, “Today marks 365 days since she called you ‘husband.’

‘Best decision of my life. It still feels exactly like that. Ecstatic. Grinning and laughing together, run to the future. I love you, my favorite. Happy Birthday (white heart emoji).’

Meanwhile, Grant also took to Instagram on June 11 to share a sweet tribute that can still be seen on their wedding day.

He posted a lengthy caption that read, “What a full, beautiful, dynamic, exciting, growing year we have had together. I really like living with you!’

He also shared that on the morning of their one-year anniversary, she gave her a card that read, “There are seven billion people on this planet. You are my favorite.’

The brunette beauty, who was previously married to her One Tree Hill co-star Chad Michael Murray, has yet to publicly comment on her current split.

While the Chicago PD star has not commented on her divorce at the time of writing, she did write about her intense feelings during her London stage debut for the production, 2:22 A Ghost Story a few weeks prior to her split.

“The attraction to this story and this cast was perhaps the most intense I’ve felt in my career,” the diminutive starlet added to her millions of followers to read.

She showed a more rational view of soul mates when she appeared on the Inside Of You podcast.

“The idea that you’re going to meet your person and they’re going to make you so happy that you’ll be fulfilled and you’ll never be nervous again and you’ll never think someone else is hot-like? It’s such an absurd joke,” emphasized the John Tucker Must Die star.
