Sonic the Hedgehog dressed up while Shadow racked my brains
It seems that Sonic the Hedgehog always finds ways to defeat his rival and enemy Shadow. This time it’s storming around Sonic Superstars while wearing a onesie that makes him look exactly like his black and red counterpart. The new costume looks like some kind of cosmic horror, and its reveal sparked a wave of comments online poking fun at Sonic’s terrifying yet hilarious new look.
The onesie essentially transforms Sonic into Shadow from head to toe, save for a small circular cutout on his face. The onesie comes with a free new costume Sonic Superstars and was released on thursday to celebrate the announcement of Sonic X Shadow Generations. This may only be a minor cosmetic addition, but since then it has been accompanied by an extra dose of pettiness Sonic Superstars doesn’t actually feature Shadow as a playable character. Instead, this fake shadow costume makes the addition feel almost like a mockery. Sorry shade!

However, as some have noted, adding Shadow’s costume is much funnier than just adding him to the game. Now people are sharing funny commentary and fan art commentary online about the cursed Sonic costume on X.
Sonic dressed as Shadow is far from the only big news from our beloved blue hedgehog. He will still star in the third installment of the live-action film adaptation based on the video game franchise. Sega also announced a reboot of the 2011 game Sonic Generations, Sonic X Shadow Generations, during PlayStation’s State of Play at the end of January. If you’re not a Shadow girl, that’s fine too. Paramount has dropped a new trailer and details for Paramount’s upcoming live-action series that also centers on Knuckles.
