Son Lauren Boebert called 911 to say his father had become physical

A new report revealed that Representative Lauren Boebert’s son called 911 to report that his father was getting physical with him and that the Colorado Republican had been living separately from her husband for six months before she filed for divorce.

One of Boebert’s four sons told the 911 dispatcher that his father Jayson Boebert “threw him through the house” during a Dec. 11 argument, according to records obtained by Insider.

During the 6:46 p.m. call, the teen reportedly “sobbed” and “gasped” when he told the operator that his father was “trickin’ me.” The dispatcher asked the teen if Jayson had gotten physical with him. “Yeah, he was throwing me over,” the boy said.

“He called me a psychopath, while he was the…” he added, before losing his voice.

Boebert filed for divorce from her husband of 20 years earlier this month.

The dispatcher told the teen that he would send an officer to the house and not to worry and asked if there were any guns in the house.

“I mean there are guns in the house yes, but I don’t think he would use them against me,” the sobbing son replied. “He does this to me so often.”

He then informed the dispatcher that he was running to his mother’s residence – a farm next to the Boebert family home.

“I’m in the driveway, but my mom stays down at the farm because they’re having problems,” the teen said. “I’ll go where he can’t reach me.”

The boy hung up, but called back five minutes later to deny his earlier story that his father had become physical.

“All I wanted to say was me and my dad started screaming, he didn’t really get physical with me,” the teen told the same dispatcher, as Boebert answered the phone.

“Hello, I’m the mother,” she said.

‘OK. There was an argument over dinner. I understand you need to come and talk to them. I’m at our second location with [our son] getting ready for an event,” she said.

“I just want to let you know I got it,” she told the dispatcher. “His father is home.”

The dispatcher informed Boebert that they were sending officers to see if the boy needed help.

“He doesn’t need help,” he said. “But yes, they can come here.”

When the police showed up, Jayson told them he got into a verbal argument. Jayson said he didn’t hurt him, but “maybe the door hit his ass on the way out.”

Jayson said he got into a fight with his son and told the boy to go to where his mother was staying to “cool off.”

The boy then told the officer ‘he started yelling at his dad first and his dad wasn’t physical’.

The teen “said he wasn’t sure why he said his father hurt him, but he was upset,” the police log said.

Jayson explained to Insider that before Boebert ran for Congress, the family spent a lot of time together when he wasn’t working in the oil industry.

Now that Boebert is “serving her country,” he said, “every teenager will want to test the bull,” he said. “We’re over it.”

Earlier this month, the DailyMail.com reported that Mike Estep, who provided Jayson with Boebert’s divorce papers, said Jayson became “extremely angry” and sent their dogs on him when Estep showed up at their home in Silt, Colorado.

Estep said Jayson was at home cleaning his gun and drinking a beer when he showed up.

Estep stated, “Jayson answered the door and I said ‘are you Jayson Boebert’ to which he said ‘that’s me.’ I told him, “I have a writ of dissolution for you.” I saw him drinking a tall glass of beer and cleaning a gun that was on a table.

“Once he heard that the marriage dissolution papers were being handed to him, he was extremely angry. I tried to hand him the documents, but… [he] didn’t bring them. He started yelling and using swear words and told me I was trespassing and that he was calling the sheriff’s office. I told him I left the documents on the chair outside the door, he closed the door and let the dogs out.’

Boebert, 36, cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for separating from her husband of 18 years and said in a bizarre statement that she “has always been faithful.”

In an exclusive text message to DailyMail.com, her heartbroken husband Jayson said, “I’m torn by this, a very sad thing. A terrible moment in my life.

“I love her too much to say anything bad about her. She is the mother of my children and my partner for 20 years. Please let me have some rest.’

A hearing is scheduled for May 31 in Mesa County Court in Grand Junction, Colorado.

In her statement, the second congressman said, “It is with a heavy weight on my heart that I have filed for divorce from my husband. I am grateful for our years of marriage together and for our beautiful children, all of whom deserve privacy and love as we go through this process.”

“I’ve always been faithful in my marriage and I’m a strong believer in marriage, which makes this announcement all the more difficult.”

The couple married in 2005 and share four boys together. They met at Burger King when she was 16 and he was 22 – she worked there and Jayson, who worked on an oil rig, stopped for lunch.

Boebert has also bid for a temporary order granting primary custody of the couple’s sons, Tyler, 18, Brody, 15, Kaydon, 13, and Roman, 10, as well as child and spousal support.

The December incident wasn’t the first time police had been called to the Boebert residence — two neighbors called police on Jayson and reported that he ran over a mailbox and was “probably loaded.” [drunk]in August 2022.

“It’s Lauren Boebert’s bastard,” a neighbor said.

“The stories about the process server and even Jayson running over a mailbox are a complete lie,” Boebert wrote on Twitter after the report on the divorce papers.

“Jayson, a man I’ve spent half my life with, didn’t sign up to be in the public spotlight, and he certainly didn’t agree to be falsely accused of things he didn’t do.”
