Some iPhone 15 Pro users are claiming that their smartphones are still overheating despite Apple releasing an updated iOS 17 this month.

DailyMail.com has confirmed several reports of users whose devices are still getting too hot to handle even after downloading iOS 17.0.3.

Apple claimed the new operating system would be a fix, as it said a software bug was causing the excessive heat.

Users still plagued by the issue say it happens with Apple’s MagSafe charger or even when the smartphone is idle.

Apple released the new iOS on October 4 following numerous reports from users claiming that their iPhone 15 Pro would reach 100 degrees Fahrenheit after just a few minutes of use.

Adarsh Kumar, a member of the Indian National for the state of Karnataka, told DailyMail.com that his iPhone 15 Pro is still experiencing heating problems.

He explained that the smartphone only overheats when charged with a MagSafe and even when ‘left idle’.

‘The titanium surface makes it difficult to hold the phone when it gets heated as well. The overheating is not limited to just the rear end,” Kumar said.

DailyMail.com spoke to X-user ‘Maxwell’ who also confirmed that his iPhone 15 Pro Max is still overheating after the iOS 17.0.3 update.

Maxwell shared a screenshot of his smartphone which displayed a ‘Charging on Hold notification’.

“Charging will resume when the iPhone returns to normal temperature,” the notification reads.

He also shared that the speakers still crack, and the smartphone “can’t withstand a small drop.”

Other iPhone 15 Pro owners have vented their frustrations on a MacRumors Forum, where many have also cited issues while using a MagSafe charger.

“I’ve had my 15 pro (512GB) phone since release day and charge it every night on my Belkin 3 in 1 MagSafe charger, I’ve been using this charger for three years with no problems,” posted user TotalMacMove.

“I woke up yesterday morning with my phone at 68 percent, and several alerts saying that charging was interrupted due to temperature and the phone was very hot.”

However, many users reported that the updated iOS solved their iPhone 15 Pro overheating problem.

An X user posted: ‘iPhone 15 pro max overheating has gone down for me since the update.’

Some users have also shared that they never had overheating issues with their iPhone 15 Pro or Pro Max.

Tech experts believed the issue was related to the iPhone 15’s new processor or titanium casing that houses the high-end iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

But Apple hit back at the claims, blaming the problem on a software bug.

An Apple spokesperson told DailyMail.com that users may notice that their iPhone 15 Pro feels warmer when setting it up, restoring from backup, charging it wirelessly, or using graphics- or processor-intensive apps.
