Richmond, Sydney: Soldier rushed to hospital after parachuting accident at RAAF base

A soldier serving in the Australian Defense Force has been injured in a horror parachute accident.

The incident occurred on Wednesday evening during a training exercise at an RAAF base in Richmond, about 50km northwest of Sydney.

The Australian Defense Force confirmed the soldier was injured during a “routine training activity.”

The soldier was rushed to hospital by ambulance personnel after first aid was administered on the spot.

The extent of the injury suffered by the soldier and their current condition after being admitted to hospital is not yet known.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted the Australian Defense Force and NSW Health for comment.
