Sofyan Amrabat has given an update on his future after starring in Manchester United’s FA Cup triumph.

The Moroccan has made 30 appearances this season during his loan spell at Old Trafford from Fiorentina, with just nine starts in the Premier League.

He has struggled for the most part this season but has improved in the closing stages of the campaign, raising questions over whether United will activate their purchase option.

Amrabat has said he would like to stay at United permanently and will sit down with the club to discuss his future.

Speak with Ziggosport, he said: ‘Do I know yet what I’m going to do next year? No. We’re going to talk. Staying is certainly an option.

‘Look, I think it’s been a very difficult season. Things have to get much better for Manchester United, and also for me personally. We are going to talk.

‘Manchester United is the biggest club in the world, so who wouldn’t want to play football here? But all parties have to be happy with each other, so we are now going to sit around the table and see what happens.’

Amrabat, who sometimes filled in at left-back, was one of United’s better players towards the end of a turbulent campaign that ended in winning the FA Cup after beating Manchester City, a match he started.

The 27-year-old former Feyenoord and Utrecht player is receiving offers from Saudi Arabia and could move there at the end of the season, but could also stay in the Premier League.

Palace, meanwhile, are said to have been impressed by the midfielder’s performance in their 4-0 win over United a few weeks ago, with the club set to back new manager Oliver Glasner in the market.

It is reported that the Eagles see Amrabat as a player who can take the club to the next level.

Fulham could also be the next destination for him as they will look to find a replacement for Joao Palhinha if he heads out this summer.
