Sofia Vergara discusses life amid divorce from second husband Joe Manganiello: ‘I’ve been moving on’

Sofía Vergara opened up about what life has been like over the past six months since she legally divorced her second husband Joe Manganiello after seven years of marriage.

“I have moved on,” said the 51-year-old America’s Got Talent judge CBS Sunday morning of her divorce.

“You’re out there (in the public eye) and people know that’s part of being a celebrity. I knew (the press attention) was going to happen. You can’t hide those things.’

Sofía continued, “It wasn’t bad. I guess I would have to say that the press was very respectful and very kind. And I thought they were going to invent more things, and you know how that usually goes. I was surprised and, you know, they just said what it was and, and that was it.”

The 47-year-old Deal Or No Deal Island host hired high-powered divorce lawyer Laura Wasser to settle his prenuptial agreement with Vergara, and he was awarded custody of their 11-year-old Chihuahua Bubbles – according to TMZ.

Joe apparently wanted children, while the Colombian bombshell did not, after welcoming her 32-year-old son Manolo during her two-year marriage to high school sweetheart Joe Gonzalez, which ended in 1993.

Shockingly, Manganiello never fully addressed the subject, as Sofía was locked in a highly publicized, five-year legal battle to her ex-fiance Nick Loeb about their two female frozen embryos.

And while The Kill Room star Caitlin O’Connor from Pennsylvania is keeping busy already at the beginning of AugustVergara enjoyed a rebound affair with orthopedic surgeon Justin Saliman.

The first sign of trouble came in June when the former couple put their seven-bedroom, 11-bathroom mansion in Beverly Hills on the market for $18 million.

The Walmart employee has certainly kept the divorce out of her mind by keeping busy with the press tour for Andrés Baiz’s six-episode series Griselda, which premieres on Netflix on January 25.
