Sofia Vergara and son Manolo granted temporary restraining order against alleged stalker
Sofia Vergara and her son Manolo have been granted a temporary restraining order against a man the actress claims is stalking them.
Sofia, 51, claims in legal documents obtained by TMZ that the man – named Gregory Brown – is a “mentally unstable stalker” who has “a delusion that he knows her personally and has a relationship with her and her family,” as does her son Manolo Gonzalez Vergara, 32.
Vergara, who is in the middle of a divorce, claims Brown's “aggressive and intimidating behavior” has made her fear for her safety and also caused anxiety and emotional distress.
The Modern Family actress says Brown has been steadfast in his pursuit, even though he was reportedly arrested earlier this year for trespassing and vandalizing her home.
Brown reportedly tried to reach her and Manolo several times, and Sofia claimed he gained unauthorized access to her gated community by walking in from the hills during the summer.

Sofia claims she received a letter in the mail from Brown in November. In the letter, Brown allegedly told her he would “see and hear from her very soon, my dear,” before ending the letter with “Gangsta.”
The actress claims that Brown has a criminal history that includes arrests for violent crimes. His alleged criminal past has made her more concerned about her safety.
Sofia and her son have now been granted a temporary restraining order by a judge. As part of the requirements, Brown must stay at least 100 meters away from Sofia and Manolo and is not allowed to contact them.
Manolo is Sofia's son from her first marriage to Joe Gonzalez. Years after their divorce, she married True Blood actor Joe Manganiello.
The couple announced in July that they had separated and were divorcing after seven years of marriage.
Just two days after announcing their separation, the actor filed for divorce and noted the date of their separation as July 2, while calling the reason for the end of their marriage “irreconcilable differences.”
The former couple had no children together.

Sofia had a quick trip to celebrate Thanksgiving as she spent the holiday with her neighbor Anastasia Soare, 65.
She shared photos on Instagram of herself enjoying the holiday with Anastasia.
Known as the 'Eyebrow Queen', Anastasia is the founder of the beauty brand Anastasia Beverly Hills.
Sofia wore a dark brown dress with long sleeves and a short skirt for the meeting.
