Sofia Richie shows off her baby bump at nine months pregnant in a tiny white tank top: ‘Waiting on you baby girl!’

Lionel Richie’s daughter Sofia shared a sweet photo of her burgeoning baby bump on Monday as she posed from the side for her more than 11 million Instagram followers.

In the photo, the 25-year-old influencer, who is married to British record executive Elliot Grainge, beamed as she stood outside with her shirt lifted slightly to reveal her bare stomach, ahead of the upcoming birth of her first child.

“9 months of bliss,” she captioned the image with a single heart and dove emoji.

The mom-to-be also shared a close-up of her bump to her Instagram Story in the same ensemble with a sweet message revealing that she was patiently “waiting” for her daughter.

In January, the model revealed she was six months pregnant with a girl.

“I’ve learned more in the last six months than I have in my entire life,” she told Vogue, before noting that her little one is a future “Gemini.”

Richie said she found out about her pregnancy “very, very early,” saying, “I was about four weeks pregnant. I was traveling to Milan for Fashion Week and I went to the Prada show. I went through a very quick 24 hour turnaround, and I felt terrible but didn’t think much about it. I thought it was jet lag.

Before attending an Ed Sheeran concert in Los Angeles, she decided to take a pregnancy test because the couple had been “casually trying” to have a child since their wedding.

She said: ‘Elliot didn’t really flinch when I said I was checking. I took one of those crappy tests at home and there was a very faint line. I was so used to seeing negatives that I knew when something looked even slightly different.”

After Grainge ran to CVS to get more tests while she was on the phone, Sofia – the pair took three tests together, with Richie saying: ‘He’s such a lovely guy, he always wants to protect my emotions and expectations, so he sat me down a bit and said, ‘If these are negative, don’t be angry. Our moment will come.”

‘When we submitted all three tests at the same time, they were all positive. He was so excited and we both cried. It was crazy and overwhelming and so hard not to shout it from the rooftops. But knowing I was so early, I was so protective, even of my friends.”

Sofia and her husband waited until the star was eight weeks pregnant before telling their parents and presented the pregnancy tests in a Hermes box.

Sofia said: “It was really sweet to see their reaction change from ‘I’m about to get an expensive gift’ to ‘I’m about to have a grandchild’.”

The star revealed why she kept her pregnancy a secret until the third trimester: ‘I wasn’t posting because I felt like I wanted to have this big announcement. I was afraid of achieving certain milestones [when it came to the pregnancy]and once I passed that 21 week mark, I felt like I was in the safe zone.

“Now that I’m out there, I feel like I’ve overcome the big hurdles and I feel safe and comfortable announcing it, and I can now have those open conversations and be honest with the people who watch my videos .

Sofia and Elliot sparked romance speculation in January 2021, just a few months after Sofia and Scott Disick, 40, split after nearly four years of dating on and off.

Grainge proposed to Sofia in April 2022 and she shared the news on Instagram, captioning the photo: ‘Forever isn’t long enough @elliot.’

A year later, the couple married at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes, France.

The wedding was attended by several celebrity guests, including her father, her sister Nicole Richie, 42, and her husband Joel Madden, Cameron Diaz, 51, and her husband Benji Madden, as well as Paris Hilton, 42, and her husband Carter Reum.
