Socialite influencer wife of financier Brandon Miller lists Hamptons estate and flees for Miami after his suicide

The wife of a businessman who committed suicide after falling millions of dollars in debt has put her Hamptons estate up for sale and fled to Miami.

Candice Miller has put her $15.5 million Water Mill mansion on the market following the death of her husband Brandon Miller.

She and her two daughters are reportedly moving to Florida to start a new life, sources told Page Six.

“She’s in New York,” the insider said. “She’s moving to Miami before school starts and has her kids enrolled in a school in Miami.”

The couple had been in dire financial straits before Miller committed suicide last month, having taken out several large loans using the Hamptons home as collateral.

Mounting debt forced them to sell their TriBeCa home in 2021. The family lived in a $47,000-a-month townhouse on the Upper East Side, New York Times reported.

Now the Hamptons estate is for sale through renowned real estate agent Bespoke Real Estate for an asking price of $15.495 million.

According to the listing, the 8,500-square-foot home features seven bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a heated pool, “ultimate amenities and top-notch finishes throughout.”

“Located on the well-known Cobb Isle Road, this property has a gated entrance, ensuring privacy and tranquility,” the listing states.

‘The prime location offers easy access to the water, with Mecox Bay, Burnett Creek and Mill Creek nearby. It is also just minutes from Flying Point Beach.’

The stunning estate was a fixture on Candice Miller’s now-deleted Instagram page Mama and Tata for her eponymous lifestyle brand.

The report made frequent mention of extravagant displays of wealth, such as lavish parties, designer clothes and lavish outings.

In reality, Brandon Miller was said to have owed approximately $17 million at the time of his death and was being sued for $221,000.

In his efforts to get the ship back on course, he took out a series of loans on the family’s Hamptons home, financial records analyzed by The New York Times show.

This included a $6.1 million loan from a traditional bank and a $2 million loan from a company advertising same-day loans.

The couple also spent $180,000 renting furniture for a full year, plus $12,000 per month after that, according to a lawsuit alleging Brandon Miller owes the rental company $100,000.

The cost of “downsizing” the apartment still wasn’t covered, and Brandon Miller couldn’t pay several bills, including the docking costs for a $1 million speedboat.

While the family was on vacation, the real estate magnate got into his car and left the engine running until the garage filled with toxic gas.

The buildup of carbon monoxide set off a carbon monoxide alarm, which alerted firefighters in Southampton, New York, and sent a notification to Candice Miller, DailyMail.com previously reported.

But she missed the July 1 warning because she was sleeping in her Amalfi Coast hotel, where she paid $2,000 a night, a friend told DailyMail.com.

Reports have since emerged that she was aware of the mounting financial problems before she went on holiday, but that her husband had assured her that everything was under control.

Friends told The New York Times that Brandon Miller encouraged his wife to go on vacation by insisting everything was paid for.
