Socceroos coach Graham Arnold has been linked with vacancies at three European clubs, including the Scottish Premier League’s Hibernian.
The 60-year-old Arnold gained many admirers after leading Australia to the round of 16 at the World Cup in Qatar last year and is also reportedly in the sights of two English champion clubs.
Hibernian fired Lee Johnson on Sunday after their 3-2 home loss to Livingston.
Taking on the role at Hibs would see Arnold working closely with Socceroos duo Martin Boyle and James Jeggo as well as unlimited defenseman Lewis Miller.
Arnold’s last club role was in 2018 with Sydney FC, where he led the A-League club to a championship in 2017 and their first Australia Cup victory in the same year.
He has previously indicated that he wants to emulate Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou and win the Asian Cup with Australia, which will be held in Qatar in January and February next year.

Given that Arnold signed a new four-year contract with Football Australia in January, a step to the side would be a hit.
Arnold began his coaching career in the defunct National Soccer League with Sydney United and Northern Spirit in the late 1990s before working as an assistant for the national team from 2000-2006.
He was very successful as manager of Central Coast Mariners (2010-2013) and Sydney FC (2014-2018) in the A-League before replacing Bert van Marwijk in charge of the Socceroos after the 2018 World Cup.
When it comes to his management style, Arnold is known for his out-of-the-box thinking.
Replacing goalkeeper Mat Ryan with Andrew Redmayne against Peru in a must-win World Cup qualifier in June 2022 proved to be a masterstroke.
It seemed like an amazing gamble, but Redmayne paid it off, with his penalty save off Alex Valera’s boot, helping Australia qualify for their fifth successive World Cup.
The Socceroos boss has been in Britain for the past few weeks, keeping an eye on a number of players ahead of the friendly against Mexico in Dallas on September 10.
The selection will be announced on September 1.
