Oh, we love being by the sea – especially when life gets too bleak in Walford.
The last time we went was to see Jean wading into the sea in a wedding dress; this time it’s Lola, when Jay takes her out of the hospital after she collapses outside the gym.
It’s an emotional journey for the couple as they share a heart-to-heart.
Finally. I know Jay has to be strong for Lola and Lexi, but half the time he makes the Mona Lisa look like The Laughing Cavalier.
On this week’s Eastenders, it’s an emotional journey for Jay Mitchell (played by Jamie Borthwick and Lola Pearce (played by Danielle Harold), both pictured, as they finally share a heart to heart on EastEnders
The coast isn’t all cornettos and clams, however, when Lola sees a ruby necklace she’s eager to buy for Lexi for her 16th birthday and is framed for theft by a police officer.
It’s a true internal organs outburst this week, as Stacey and Martin go on a picnic and enjoy some heart-to-heart too.
With her money problems and Lily being bullied at school, Stacey is at her wits’ end.
Will she confess that she got her gear online to survive? Please, eat the sandwiches first; I’m not sure Martin’s stomach is quite ready for this.
What is this new obsession with forcing Kim’s voice on us at every opportunity?
Now she organizes a karaoke party for Lola at the salon, but forgets to order the machine. Relief.
We can all be thankful for that. But, oh no!
Elaine saves the day by providing a fancy machine herself.
Also look out for another musical item at the end of the week – you really don’t want to miss this one. Kleenex ready.
How is Elaine doing as the new co-owner of the Vic?
She may charm the local men with free drinks, but Linda becomes annoyed with her mother’s changes in the normal course of things.
What?
Do you mean Elaine’s stopped fights, murders, coming out, parenting revelations, disastrous weddings, vigils, etc.? We’ll never succeed.
KRONING STREET
Amy is in complete protection from Mia as the latter rekindles her romance with Aaron. Unfortunately, it backfires when Mia accuses her of fabricating the rape, and Detective Swain tells Amy that an allegation of harassment has been made against her.
Enraged at the unfairness of the situation, Amy starts writing about it.
Here’s where things go horribly wrong: Steve encourages her to post the document online.
Steve isn’t exactly known for thinking before he speaks; in fact, he is not known for thinking at all. When the piece comes out, Eric tells Amy she will be sued for libel.
At least it gives Dee Dee something else to do. She handles more cases than Law And Order can handle in an entire series.
Sure enough, she warns that a libel case can cost a fortune.

Good luck with that.
Steve and Tracy fear they’ll have to sell their business for the legal fees, but their only real money is selling one bunch of flowers a week and one cab ride to the airport – a month. Just declare bankruptcy.
Aside from the mystery of why no one has found out that Stephen is a serial killer, there’s another mystery: why doesn’t Jenny keep the white wine in the fridge at the Rovers? It’s always on a shelf, but no one ever complains about it being hotter than the hotpot.
Amy tries to tame her trauma
The repercussions of Amy’s rape continue in Corrie, and for Elle Mulvaney, who plays her, it was a chance to show another side of her character.
‘I think it was about time. Yes, she’s traumatized, but she’s still feisty, fiery, and level-headed,” says Elle.
She recognizes that victims have different ways of coping with trauma.
“There is no right way or easy way to accept what happened. I think Corrie did that very well.’
Amen that.
EMMERDALE
You can’t help feeling that if Moira had spent less time hanging out in haylofts and chatting at her kitchen table, she wouldn’t be in financial trouble.
With Caleb conspiring with Kim to persuade Moira to sell their Butler’s Farm, it seems she has no choice.
Cain is shocked when Moira admits emotional defeat in her struggle to keep the farm afloat, and is wary when Caleb suggests selling to Kim.

Of course he does. Kim is always the only option.
Where does she get her money from? Most of it goes toward refilling that carafe that she clings to like a long-lost relative.
It seems Caleb is up to no good for Kim when his contact Adrian gives him USB sticks that allow him to install malware on Kim’s laptop to get her passwords.
Here’s another question: Why doesn’t Kim shut down her computer?
Probably for the same reason her front door is always locked. For all her money, she still can’t afford a locksmith.
Love may be in the air for Liam when Wendy uncovers a secret about him – he’s a published author writing under the name Anna Le Monde. Where on earth does he find the time between being the only doctor in Yorkshire and pushing women off bridges?
