Soap star shares adorable childhood photo in cute fancy dress costume – can you guess who this little angel is?

A soap star shared an adorable childhood photo on Friday, dressed in a sweet fancy dress costume.

In the update uploaded to Instagram, the actress posed for a series of selfies before adding the throwback.

The toddler wore a pretty purple dress, complete with feather trim and ruffled sleeves, and sat on a table.

She captioned the post: ‘Same girl, a little more hair’

The EastEnders actress, 22, shared a recent selfie, with her red hair in a big bun, before drawing a comparison with the childhood photo.

Maisie, who played Tiffany Butcher in the BBC soap, joined in 2008 aged six but decided to leave in 2021 after 13 years on screen.

The star won Best Dramatic Performance by a Young Actor or Actress at the British Soap Awards in 2008, a year after joining EastEnders.

She has been involved in a number of major storylines on the soap, including a shocking grooming plot in 2019.

Maisie finished second on Strictly Come Dancing in 2020 after competing with professional Gorka Marquez.

While starring in the series, she formed a friendship with her current boyfriend Max George and they officially got together in the summer of 2022.

Max and Maisie moved in together at the start of last year, with the EastEnders star’s mum Julia sharing a glimpse of her move out of the family home at the time.

Speak with The sun on SundayMaisie spoke of her excitement about life with Max and dismissed concerns about their 13-year age gap.

She said, “If that wasn’t the case, it would be something else. People don’t understand what goes on behind closed doors in a relationship, and I think they also forget that I’m a consenting 21 year old woman who has actually been working longer than Max!

‘I don’t notice the age difference and neither do my friends and family. My mother Julia is the one who reads all the comments.

‘Yesterday I got a message from her saying: ‘Ignore them, you were made for each other.’
