Snoop Dogg laughs off Chris Rock’s claim that he is the ‘Morgan Freeman of hip hop’

EXCLUSIVE ‘Chris Rock is my friend!’ Snoop Dogg laughs at the comic’s controversial claim that he is the ‘Morgan Freeman of hip hop’ after putting his name on dozens of brands, and insists that he DOES say no from time to time.

Snoop Dogg insists there is no break with Chris Rock after the controversial comedian downplayed his numerous endorsements during a Netflix stand-up show.

The rapper’s diverse approach to endorsement includes an unlikely collaboration with Martha Stewart on a variety of cookbooks, while cartoons, reality shows and custom marijuana strains have enriched his coffers to the tune of $150 million. and have earned it the affection of a wider audience.

Most recently, she surprised British viewers by starring in an ad campaign for food delivery service Just Eats. Her catchy jingle proved so popular that she even appeared on her setlist at London’s O2 Arena on Tuesday night.

But Snoop’s incredible marketing power resulted in Rock’s uncharitable comparisons to veteran actor Morgan Freeman, whose eclectic portfolio includes ads for Turkish Airlines, Mountain Dew and the Professional Golf Association, during his recent comedy special Selective Outrage.

Speaking to MailOnline while launching his latest venture, a collaboration with online crypto casino Roobet, the 51-year-old rapper insisted there were no hard feelings.

“Chris Rock is my friend,” he insisted. “I was basically saying, how did I go from America’s Most Wanted to America’s Most Lovable?

‘It’s about transformation, growth, development and being willing to embrace change.’

While brands are willing to pay life-changing sums for the rapper’s services (his Just Eats deal alone is said to be worth $5 million), not every endorsement opportunity gets the coveted green light.

“I say not much,” he said. ‘I don’t want to criticize anyone and say I said no to this or that person, but there are one or two people where it’s not about the money and more about the membership.

If I feel like your family and believe what you believe, that’s fine. You stand behind your brand, but there are some things in life that don’t mix with me and I can’t promote everything, so sometimes I have to say no.’

THE FULL CHRIS ROCK SNOOP JOKE

‘When did Snoop Dogg become Morgan Freeman? This nigga is selling everything! Beer, wine, tampons…

‘I saw a commercial the other day, Snoop was selling reverse mortgages. He called them “doggages”… what the hell is a “doggage”?!

Although I love Snoop. The last thing I need is another crazy rapper, okay?

“We had a mutual interest in giving back, to help certain people who couldn’t touch as much money as we did, to have the opportunity to do so,” he told MailOnline of his involvement. ‘They are willing to give back to charities and deal with certain things.

‘That appealed to me more than working for an organization to make money for me. I was overwhelmed when they introduced that, first of all.

He added: ‘I am the missing piece of the puzzle. The things they do with me will be avant-garde. They’ve already been doing a great job without me, so imagine them with me.

They have no one like me. It’s a unique relationship: I don’t have any competitor in my lane.

While Crash urges players to collect before a rocket crashes to earth, Hot Box challenges players to ‘smoke’ Snoop Dogg himself and urges players to collect before they inevitably fail.

“It’s very up close and personal,” he said. ‘It has music, it has my voice there. I will give you a part of me without taking a part of me out of there. But actually being a part of the development of the game, from start to finish.’
