Snoop Dogg gifted Ed Sheeran and Russell Crowe a solid gold necklace from his own record label, worth $9,600 each, while partying with the couple backstage.
The rapper shared a video of the couple unwrapping the presents as the unlikely trio hung out backstage at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne over the weekend.
Rapper Snoop, 51, whose real name is Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr., could be seen placing the flashy necklace around Ed’s neck, with the Shape of You singer smiling as he tried on his new jewelry.
He gifted Ed and Russell with a chunky chain bearing the logo of his Death Row Records jewelry line. Snoop has a habit of giving celebrities this chain when he meets them, and he recently gifted one to Jamie Foxx.
“Amazing Mr. Ed,” Snoop captioned one image.

A member of Snoop’s entourage also shared a video of the moment, writing: “Welcome 2 Death Row.”
Snoop now owns Death Row Records, it was founded in 1991 by Dr. Dre, Suge Knight, Dick Griffey and The DOC.
In another photo, shared by Ed, he and Snoop pose side by side backstage. “I had a great time,” Ed captioned his post.
Beneath Snoop’s posts, fans couldn’t help but say how much they loved Ed and Snoop’s unlikely new friendship.

Daily Mail Australia does not suggest that neither Ed nor Russell smoked anything that night.

The Gin and Juice star lives in California, where the recreational use of marijuana is legal, and has employed a joint tamper full-time since 2016.

The employee, known as Renegade, revealed on The Kyle and Jackie O Show that she had rolled more than 450,000 joints for Snoop during that time.
