Every year, to celebrate the holidays, Weekend Update hosts Colin and Michael Che write deliberately offensive jokes for the other to read on air for the very first time.
But this year, Colin’s segment included a cheeky outburst at his wife, Scarlett’s body, and some people on social media wondered if it would affect their relationship.
“I want to dedicate this next joke to my sweetheart, Scarlett Johansson,” Colin, 42, said as the camera panned to the actress, 40, who made a special guest appearance during the episode.
The Black Widow star was shown backstage dressed in a black suit and with a drink in hand in front of a Christmas tree as she watched her husband on screen.
The Harvard graduate said Costco had removed the roast beef sandwich from the menu before joking, “I’ve been eating roast beef every night since my wife had the kid.”
The camera quickly showed Scarlett’s reaction; she muttered “Oh my God” and looked shocked as her husband compared her genitals to the sandwich meat.
