Snake invades the Dodgers dugout during Mets game as New York levels up NLCS with 7-3 win in Los Angeles

The Los Angeles Dodgers’ NLCS game against the New York Mets was crashed by an unwanted guest in their dugout at Dodgers Stadium.

During Game 2 of the National League finals on Monday afternoon, a snake was found slithering on the top step of the Dodgers’ dugout.

Pitcher Brent Honeywell was walking back to the bench when he saw the reptile and pointed it out to his team. The broadcast then captured the snake as it tried to worm its way out of the players’ view.

Shortly afterwards, a staffer picked it up with a towel and put it away as the game progressed.

“We’ve had ‘Snakes on a Plane,’ ‘Snakes on a Train,’ and the latest Hollywood hit ‘Snake in the Dugout,’ the commentary team joked.

“The Astros planted it there!!! Don’t forget it,” wrote a third.

Other users pointed to the sighting as a negative omen, which was reflected in the outcome, as the Mets secured a 7–3 victory over the Dodgers, tying the series at 1–1.
