The mere mention of a body oil can conjure up images of sensual evenings spent with a partner, brushing silky smooth emulsions over each other and enjoying those sensations that only the pleasures of human touch can give.

And sometimes the mere suggestion of things to come can be more appealing than anything else. With a bottle Graydon intimacy oil, the possibilities are endless. Give each other a sensual massage. Or, if you’re solo, brush it over your own skin.

A dreamy oil that feels wonderfully silky smooth, this light essence is formulated with the intention of helping users feel better connected to their own bodies.

With its slightly sweet scent and nice texture, the oil is a winner in every way. It is packed with nourishing ingredients that become slippery on contact.

It can also be used as a massage oil, making it an important part of more intimate moments with your partner. And it’s equally powerful as a moisturizer, cuticle softener, and even hair smoother!

Unlike other “intimacy” brand oils, this is not a personal lubricant in the conventional sense of the word. It is for external use only and should not be used with latex. Instead, it’s an oil that just feels good – and formulated to help you feel more connected to your body.

That is precisely why founder Graydon Moffat developed Intimacy oil in the first place. Dealing with an eating disorder, she struggled to make peace with her body. It was difficult, she says, even to apply body lotion.

Graydon Intimacy Oil is packaged in a handy spray bottle, so you can spray it right on, massage into your skin and go (or stay in, depending on what you have in mind).

This spurred her on to create Intimacy Oil – something that feels as good as it looks, and is so much more than a standard lube. Her goal was toa more positive relationshipwith herself and her own skin.

That could be the true definition of intimacy at its core. Discovering what makes you feel good, finding ways to take care of yourself on a deeper level, and honoring your spirit are all signs of an intimate connection with your own mind, body, and soul.

Of course, a body oil can also be downright fun. It’s great for massages, so you might want to add it to your repertoire if you want to spice up the bedroom. Massages can be gently teasing or wildly erotic, and the right oil will complement whatever you want.

Test

It was my pleasure (literally) to put this wonderful oil to the test. Beautifully packaged in a sleek bottle, the color of the soft minty blue oil alone was incredibly appealing.

Apart from the aesthetics, the beauty of the Graydon intimacy oil was obvious the moment I felt it. It is light and silky, with a consistency almost like a lightweight serum.

The company states that it is designed for use on wet or dry skin and can be applied anywhere to relax and unwind the body. It also does double (and triple and quadruple…) jobs as an oil for the hair and to moisturize dry cuticles.

Applying the product was a dream. A little goes a long way, and I didn’t feel like I needed to use more to achieve a deeper hydrating effect.

I’ve found that the best way to really reap the benefits of a moisturizing product is to apply it to slightly damp skin, so after lightly patting my skin dry after a shower, I gently massaged the oil into my skin in circular motions.

The Graydon Intimacy Oil feels light and airy, with a serum-like consistency that instantly hydrates dry skin.

My skin immediately felt soft, without the greasy residue that is so typical of most body oils. There was no stickiness – I definitely didn’t feel like I had to hop back in the shower. I was able to put on my comfortable loungewear immediately afterwards and nothing unpleasantly tacky was left behind.

What I immediately loved, besides the texture, was the way my skin felt hydrated so quickly. The oil is packed with a whole cocktail of skin-loving ingredients, such as moisturizing squalane oil, omega-packed hemp seed oil, soothing milk thistle, and calming blue tansy.

While I couldn’t necessarily say which one had the best effect on my skin, I know that pretty much all of the ingredients are incredibly gentle. That’s a big deal for anyone with sensitive skin, and even then it takes some trial and error to be completely sure a product is suitable.

To that end, I used the oil for a few weeks, increasingly satisfied with the results and the fact that it did not irritate my skin once. Plus, the natural scent is absolutely divine, and just what I imagine is perfect for an at-home spa session.

It is slightly sweet, with a faint floral undertone. It’s even a bit earthy. And while I have a rather sensitive olfactory system, this scent didn’t activate it in the slightest.

it comes down to

So it is worth investing in Graydon intimacy oil when there are other body oils on the market that are also moisturizing? Yes, for a number of reasons.

There’s the fact that it introduces a whole portfolio of deeply moisturizing and conditioning ingredients to your skin – none of which can be mixed into existing body oils.

Graydon Intimacy Oil is not a personal lubricant, but a feel-good, love-yourself, honor-your-body essence that helps you feel better and better with every use.

The aroma is another huge selling point. It stands out for the way the essential oils come together in perfect harmony, creating a scent that’s just right — as if it were just kissing the skin with lightness rather than overwhelming it with vengeance.

It smells natural and beautiful, like running through a botanical garden on a sunny day. It’s the essence of how “whimsical” might smell.

I also appreciate the company’s transparency in sharing the oil’s ingredients. Anything can be a key factor in determining whether or not I can safely use a product. And since my skin never got irritated with regular use, I knew I had a good option on my hands.
