Images of the skyscraper at 125 Greenwich, which is still under construction, are being shared online as people speculate where the fire originated.

“Is this a fire in Lower Manhattan? Or just some building exhaust?’ asked X-user as they shared photos from the scene.

Social media users reported they could see the cloud of smoke across the Hudson River in New Jersey.

The New York Fire Department told DailyMail.com that the fire is contained to the HVAC system and they are monitoring the situation.
