James Corden looked dapper as ever as he hit the Met Gala red carpet on Monday, days after confirming the return of his hit show Gavin and Stacey.
The funnyman from Britain, 45, cut a classic figure as he wore a simple black and white tuxedo for the outing, which he teamed with a small bow tie.
He completed his handsome ensemble with a pair of formal olive green alligator Oxford leather shoes.
James was joined by his wife Julia Carey, who looked pretty pink for the star-studded event.
Julia, 47, looked stunning as she wore a floor-length oak effect sheath dress with a meter long length.

She oozed beauty as her sensational garment was adorned with elegant pink, green and white leaves.
The TV producer completed her look with olive green satin stilettos and dangling pearl earrings.
It comes after James announced Gavin and Stacey’s return on Friday by sharing a black and white photo of himself and Ruth Jones holding the script of the upcoming special.
He captioned the post: ‘Some news… It’s official!!! We’ve finished writing the very last episode of Gavin and Stacey. See you on Christmas Day, BBC One. I love Ruth and James .’
The Costume Institute’s Spring Exhibition falls on the first Monday in May each year and is held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
This year the event is called Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion, while the dress code is The Garden of Time.
Jennifer Lopez, Zendaya, Bad Bunny and Chris Hemsworth are this year’s co-chairs. Vogue’s is also on the committee Anna Wintour.
The chairs of honor for the evening are Loewe creative director Jonathan Anderson and TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew.
“This year’s co-chairs reflect a variety of career achievements and each has their own style history at the Met Gala,” Vogue said.

The couple’s appearance comes days after James confirmed Gavin and Stacey would return for a Christmas special while posing with Ruth Jones on Instagram
The display will feature approximately 250 items from The Costume Institute’s permanent collection. Many of the pieces are too fragile to ever be worn again.
The pieces are all rendered using elements such as AI, GCI and more, while themes such as land, sea and sky are played out.
“It is very much an ode to nature and the emotional poetics of fashion,” says Andrew Bolton, Wendy Yu Curator responsible for The Costume Institute, about the upcoming exhibition.
“One thing I hope this show will activate is the sensory appreciation of fashion.”
Guests expected to attend include the Kardashians, Blake Lively, Hailey Bieber, Sarah Jessica Parker and Timothee Chalamet.
Gwendoline Christie, La La Anthony and Ashley Graham will host, while YouTuber Emma Chamberlain is expected to interview stars on the red carpet.
Last year’s gala honored the late designer Karl Lagerfeld.
