The detox heiress accused of having sex with a 14-year-old boy twice in one day has hired a celebrity lawyer for her upcoming trial.

Wellness guru Savannah Daisley, 46, has engaged the stars’ high-profile lawyer Bryan Wrench ahead of her trial in NSW District Court in October.

Wrench, who represented ex-NRL star Sam Burgess and Wolf Creek actor John Jarratt, recently defended a pensioner in his high-profile fight against music star Guy Sebastian.

Ms Daisley appeared at the Downing Center in Sydney on Monday with Mr Wrench for pre-trial hearings, including arrangements for the closed courtroom recordings of several underage witnesses.

The famous naturopath is on trial for allegations that she had sex with a 14-year-old boy twice in May 2021.

The court heard earlier this year that evidence is expected to be presented material from a prison cell and data extracted and analyzed from two phones.

Police allege that Daisley and the 14-year-old drank alcohol before she allegedly had sex with him twice, and that she was very drunk at the time.

Police legally wiretapped a phone call after the alleged incidents where Daisley allegedly told the boy never to talk about it again.

Daisley pleaded not guilty to two charges of sex with a child last December.

She was released on bail last year after her father, Ross Daisley, who was a champion horse breeder, posted $100,000 bail.

She continues to run her celebrity-endorsed company, Smart Cleanse, made up of capsules and powers that, according to the website, promise to detoxify clients’ bodies, eliminate stress, shed pounds, and “reverse aging.”

Customers looking to lose weight and “detox their bodies” pay $199.95 for a 14-day starter pack.

Her products are sold across Australia after she struck deals with pharmacy giant Priceline in 2018 and supplement giant Mr Vitamin in 2020.

The self-proclaimed naturopath has 31,000 followers on Instagram thanks to her two-week detox program and has written two books on wellness.

The equestrian heiress must live with her parents in the NSW Southern Highlands, reporting to the police twice a week and submitting to drug and alcohol tests to ensure she meets her bail conditions.

Daisley is prohibited from being around children unless supervised and must not contact the alleged victim or any witnesses.

Mr Wrench has become a lawyer to the stars in recent years, representing the 35-year-old Burgess when he was charged with domestic violence against his ex-wife Phoebe Burgess’s father, and defending Jarratt against rape allegations.

Known for his eye-catching double-breasted suits, Mr. Wrench sometimes works pro bono – for free – as he did for Phillip Hanslow, the elderly neighbor who was accused of harassing Sebastian over their shared fence, before Mr. Wrench stepped in and the charges were dropped and dismissed.
