“I’m so sore, tired and just want to get my independence back,” she said.
“I have always slept, walked and talked, but there has never been an incident of this magnitude before.”
The family has created a fundraising page to pay for his medical expenses.

The money raised will also go towards her rehabilitation cost and living expenses during what they described as a “difficult time” for the teenager.
So far, $9,000 of the $30,000 goal has been raised.
The fundraising page says: ‘Abbey has always been a hard worker, and is never one to shy away from a challenge. But her recovery will be a long and difficult journey, and she won’t be able to work for up to 12 months.
His ambulance, medical and rehabilitation costs are expected to be substantial, which is why his family has started this fundraiser. Unfortunately, Abbey didn’t have Victorian Ambulance coverage, so that alone will be a big challenge for her.’
