Slash’s stepdaughter Lucy-Bleu Knight posted a poignant final post on Instagram, hours after the Guns N’ Roses legend announced she had tragically passed away at the age of 25.
The 58-year-old musician shared the heartbreaking news via Instagram early Monday morning that his “talented” stepdaughter had passed away.
And just three hours later, a new selfie with a very poignant caption was uploaded to her account.
“Whether I made you feel left out, manipulated/controlled you, told you to quit your job because my parents were supporting me, or drowned real issues in toxic positivity – I am sorry.”

The photo showed her looking away from the camera with a serious expression.
Many people in the comments on the blog suspected that she had already ‘planned’ it before she passed away.
According to the platform, “businesses and creators can plan ahead by scheduling Reels, photos, and carousel posts through the Instagram app.”
The caption has been edited since it was posted, but it’s unclear who edited it or what was changed.
Lucy-Bleu’s followers sent her messages en masse in the comments below her post, with expressions of support.
“I can’t believe you can schedule a post. This must be so upsetting and difficult for her loved ones. I feel so bad for everyone who adored her. This sucks,” one person wrote.
“My Lucy-Bleu, you were far from all those things,” someone else replied. “I wish you could see the beauty we all saw in you.”
And just three hours later, a new selfie (seen) was uploaded to her account with a very poignant caption

Lucy-Bleu’s followers quickly flooded the comments section of her post with messages of support
“Really sad to read this, even for someone who didn’t know her. I feel like she was harder on herself than she needed to be and she was very loved,” another user added.
Many people in the comments section theorized that it was ‘planned’ by her before she passed away. She was seen with a friend in 2021

“I can’t even imagine the pain her family must be going through,” read a fourth comment.
A fifth said: ‘You have brought nothing but joy into my life and I will always love you for it.’
Slash announced in a statement on her Instagram Stories on Friday that Lucy-Bleu “passed away peacefully.”
“Lucy-Bleu Knight (December 6, 1998), beloved daughter of Meegan Hodges and Mark Knight, stepdaughter of Samantha Somers Knight and Slash, sister of Scarlet Knight, stepsister of London and Cash Hudson, passed away peacefully in Los Angeles, California, on July 19, 2024,” he said.
‘Lucy Bleu was an incredibly talented artist, a passionate dreamer and a charming, endearing, sweet soul.
