Skye Wheatley blasts other influencers for not supporting her brand

An emotional Skye Wheatley has been devastated by the lack of support other influencers have shown her clothing brand.

The former Big Brother star, who runs the athleisure line Good People Apparel, tearfully told her followers Monday that she could no longer afford to send freebies from the brand because the company is not yet profitable enough.

She also called out other influencers for not posting about the brand on social media, despite requesting and receiving free items from her.

“It’s just f***ed,” she sobbed as she wiped away the tears.

“It’s actually stressful how much money we’ve lost from what we’ve already spent,” she confessed, before admitting that her business partner has now told her to stop giving free gifts.

“I’m just an idiot because I get really excited about, ‘Yeah, we’ll send you one!’ I want to see everyone in it, and then the people you’ve wasted money by sending it out to do nothing,” she cried.

“And it’s like that could have gone to one of my family or friends who would have actually worn it and told people about it…they would have really appreciated it.”

The 29-year-old said she promised a bunch of influencers that they would soon get tracksuits from the brand, but she was unable to deliver them because she feared there wouldn’t be enough left for customers to buy.

“Sorry, I’m actually getting emotional because I really want my brand to do well,” she said with tears in her eyes.

She also clarified that the line is not yet making a big profit and any money they make will be reinvested back into the business.

The emotional admission comes just a week after Skye was forced to close her online company Presets by Skye & Freja, which sold custom photo filters for Instagram.

Announcing the closure, she wrote, “It is with a heavy heart that we must inform you that we will be closing our business.

“While this is a bittersweet moment for us, we are immensely grateful for the support and loyalty you have shown us over the years.

As a final thank you, we’d like to give you one last chance to purchase our presets before they’re gone forever.

Don’t miss this opportunity to own a piece of our brand and take your photography to the next level. Thanks again for your support. Skye & Freja’.
