Watch the cringe moment TV pundit Andrew Bolt is confronted by an angry ‘TikTok Karen’ in an antiques store – but the Sky News Australia star insists the best bits were edited out
EXCLUSIVE
Sky News star Andrew Bolt has revealed what he really said during a blistering takedown after a TikTok ‘loser’ accosted him in an antique shop this weekend.
The conservative commentator was shopping at the Tyabb Packing House Antiques emporium on the Mornington Peninsula, southeast of Melbourne, on Saturday when he was confronted by the online activist.
A TikTokker calling himself SpaceCorgi boasted online that he started “intimidate” Andrew Bolt after unexpectedly seeing the television host in the store.
‘Fun fact: if you see far-right media moguls trying to live a normal life, you can just harass them. Like it’s not illegal or anything,” he wrote, posting a series of clips of the bizarre encounter.
In the videos, which have been viewed more than 100,000 times, the man follows Bolt through the antique shop and claims he is ‘scaring the far right again’.
“Let me tell you, I’m really happy to see you here,” the TikTokker told Bolt in one of the clips before taunting the veteran television host and columnist.
“See Andrew, you’re not comfortable here – you’re not comfortable anywhere.

The bizarre encounter took place at the Tyabb Packing House Antiques emporium on Saturday
“You live with the consequences of your actions, including feedback from great citizens of Australia like me!”
Bolt responded that the man was making other customers uncomfortable, but the TikTokker mocked him and continued to follow him around the building.
“Oh, I’m rude to Andrew Bolt – who cares,” he laughed.
“Hey Andrew, I still think you’re a pr***.”
The Tiktokker claimed that Bolt was humiliated and tried to pretend to be someone else, with a video showing Bolt in a case of ‘mistaken identity’.
“Andrew Bolt will actually pretend not to be Andrew Bolt when confronted with criticism,” he claimed.
He also claimed Bolt is “accusing me of doing drugs” as he posted a clip of the TV presenter saying: “You’re a loser who gets high…”
However, Bolt told Daily Mail Australia that the end of the sentence in the video had been cut off – and that he had continued to talk after the selective editing.
Bolt claims he was mischaracterized in some of the clips and revealed what he actually said to the online activist during the extended meeting
The reporter, who remained calm throughout the encounter, said he was actually frustrated that the activist had left out all his best comebacks.
“It all started when this guy came up to me and said, ‘I hate you’ and I replied, ‘Well, that’s a stupid thing to say’ and walked away,” Bolt told Daily Mail Australia on Monday.
‘Then he started following me and swearing at me… which was very strange, I’ve never experienced anything like that before.
“It wasn’t upsetting or anything – I’m just annoyed that he took out all my best lines!”
‘I never accused him of doing drugs or being ‘high’ – and there were plenty of people around who heard what I actually said to him.
“What I said was, ‘You’re a loser who gets high when he sees someone he thinks is famous,’ because he looked so nervous and his hands and legs were shaking like leaves.”
Bolt also claimed he was taken out of context in another TikTok clip.
“I haven’t seen the videos, but from what you’re saying, it looks like he also edited my comment that it’s a ‘case of mistaken identity,'” he said.
The television presenter was exploring the popular store at the time and looking for a box for his reading glasses
‘What I actually said was, “You’ve mistaken me for someone who cares what you think” – I can’t believe he took the best part out of it!’
Ultimately, Bolt said the man became the butt of his own attempted joke after he tried to encourage onlookers to help him ridicule the Sky News presenter – only for them to side with Bolt.
“What ended up happening was about five of them told him he was being rude and he was asked to leave,” Bolt said.
“I didn’t see it, but they told me he was so focused on filming everything that he accidentally fell and landed flat on his back, and everyone kind of laughed at him – and that was the end of it.
“I want to thank the people who intervened; They didn’t really have to do that, but it was very nice of them.
“He was clearly trying to fool me, but the people have spoken!”
Many viewers on TikTok also joined in the attack on the TikTokker Commenting that the clips were “so cringe” and “juvenile.”
‘You actually think you’re doing something good. No, this is pretty sad,” one user said.
Viewers said the TikTokker should prepare better before taking on an experienced television host like Bolt
Another commented: ‘Look at everyone in there telling you to fuck off! I’m a member of the Labor Party and I’d advise you too to fuck off, you absolute waste of space!’
A third added: ‘You need to be more witty with your attacks. Be prepared for Bolt’s rebuttals.’
The TikToker mocked the “gang of goons” who sided with Bolt during the encounter and accused the store’s customers of “attacking” him.
‘So this is it [the] The exciting ending to the story: no one calls the police, Andrew Bolt begs me not to tell everyone who he is, and then bravely runs away when the lollipop guild throws me to the ground,” he wrote.
Bolt revealed that at the time of the incident he was in the store looking for an antique glasses case and ended up purchasing a case for his reading glasses from the store.
“I wanted to walk out and not buy anything,” the TV host said.
‘But I didn’t think that was fair to the owner, so I came back and bought a beautiful antique box for my glasses.
“I don’t want to say how much I paid for it though, I haven’t told my wife yet!”
