Skip Bayless agonizes over who to vote for between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris

After a long career in sports broadcasting, during which Skip Bayless rarely ventured into politics like many of his contemporaries, he is now speaking publicly about his choice for president.

Unsure who to vote for on Election Day, Bayless points out on his podcast his thoughts on what both candidates have done right and wrong.

With the presidential election looming on Tuesday, Harris and Trump are trying to court any last-second voters to help them into the Oval Office.

“For the record, I am neither a Democrat nor a Republican,” Bayless said said. ‘I didn’t vote for Donald Trump the first two times. “But I have to admit, I’m having a hard time convincing myself that Kamala Harris will be the kind of president this country deserves.”

Although Bayless said Harris won the only presidential debate, she has done nothing in recent weeks to further influence his vote.

“In so many other interviews I’ve seen her do, she loses her train of thought. She just rambles,” Bayless said. “And I’m starting to wonder: Is she really the kind of dynamic leader and decision-maker that this country needs and deserves?”

“They are only voting for Kamala because there is no way they would vote for Donald Trump. It’s not that they believe deeply in Kamala. It’s just that they have condemned Donald Trump as a far-right psychopath who should not be allowed to return to power.”

Bayless, 72, didn’t like people’s perception that they voted for Harris out of hatred for Trump rather than appreciation for her policies.

“Donald Trump has a tough commander in him,” Bayless continued. “Sometimes, if you want to protect your freedom from superpowers who want to talk you out of it, you need (George) Patton at your side, in control, even if you don’t believe in his politics.”

For all of Bayless’s talk that seems to give the impression that he supports Trump, he admits where he stands but has not committed to his vote.

‘You are Donald who drives Trump crazy. You are one of the most recognizable men in the world. You are one of the most successful business people in the history of the world. You don’t have to lie, exaggerate or even embellish the truth. You should be so much better than that. You deserve to be better than that.”
