A beauty expert has revealed which products from Kmart’s beauty range are worth buying and which should be avoided.

Dermatologist Jayde perused the department store’s range, where all products cost $6 or less.

She started by reviewing the trio of facial serums, which are infused with hyaluronic acid to trap and retain moisture in the skin barrier for a healthy glow.

She says she has a “massive problem” with niacinamide serum, Kmart’s vitamin B3 serum, which costs $6 for a 30 ml bottle.

“They put three percent into it.

She started by discussing the trio of facial serums, which are infused with hyaluronic acid to trap and retain moisture within the skin barrier for a healthy glow

“I see a huge problem here. Based on medical clinical data, niacinamide is the most valuable at four percent.

‘In some cosmetics it goes up to 10 percent.

“What will three percent do?”

She added that it will be “nice and hydrating” and could be good for a budding teen or tween.

Next, Jayde reviewed the two percent salicylic acid serum, which is also $6 for a 30ml bottle.

Jayde said she has a “massive problem” with some of the products

She said that two percent salicylic acid is “well studied,” so it was probably a good product.

“I see a common theme, these ingredients are water based.

“They also contain hyaluronic acid, which we need to moisturize.”

While praising the salicylic acid serum, Jayde said she didn’t want anyone using the one percent retinol serum from the budget store.

‘If dThere’s one product you should invest in, it’s retinol,” she said.

“If I take someone off a cheap retinol and give them a good or even a prescription retinol, you see the changes.

‘Not me wants to see teens use this,” she continued.

The beauty expert added that none of the cleansers are suitable for use around the eyes, they contain acids.

Instead, she suggests buying the QV Ceramides Lotion for $11.99 from a pharmacy.
