“Someone shot in a busy parking lot,” Finner said.
One of the victims – a man – is in critical condition and has had surgery. Five other victims are in stable condition, Finner said. The victims are in their late twenties, early thirties.
Finner said no one has been arrested for the shooting. Police are reviewing surveillance footage to identify any suspects.

The shooting occurred around 2 a.m. Sunday after the disturbance at the Tabú Restaurant & Lounge near the Galleria area, Chief Troy Finner said.
“There’s no point in firing into a crowded parking lot,” Finner said at a Sunday news conference. “Make no mistake, we’re going to find out who did it. We’re going to hold them accountable.’
Houston police responded to the scene in the 6000 block of Richmond Avenue outside the club at around 2:10 a.m.
“We had six victims in a shooting here,” Finner said. “Apparently there was some sort of glitch in the club leading out into the parking lot.”
Five of the victims remain in stable condition in hospital. One man has had surgery but is in critical condition, Finner said.
“We’re just praying he’ll make it,” Finner said.
“Everyone is in stable condition, but we expect them to make it, so I’m praying to the family of the one victim who just came out of surgery — I hope he’s okay.”

Finner pointed out that there have been many problems with the club in the past.
“They’ve had problems here before and we’re going to look into that to make sure we’re doing everything we can do,” Finner said.
Police warned partygoers as crime escalates in the summer.
They advised customers to leave bars and clubs before they close and to avoid large crowds trying to leave the venues at the end of the night.
