Two teens, ages 16 and 18, are killed and four high school students fight for their lives after 19-year-old opens fire at house party in Mississippi
Two high school students have been killed and four others are seriously hospitalized after a teenager opened fire at a house party in southern Mississippi.
The Biloxi Sun Herald reported that early Sunday morning that the shootings occurred Saturday night in Bay St. Louis, about 30 miles west of Biloxi.
A 16-year-old and an 18-year-old died as a result of their injuries, but their names have not been released.
A total of six students were shot and taken to the area hospital. Three were in critical condition and three were in serious condition in the immediate aftermath of the shooting, officials said.
Two of the victims are students of Bay High School in Bay St. Louis. Four of the students attend Hancock High School in Kiln, 13 miles northwest of Bay St. Louis.
Video footage of the incident shows that multiple gunshots were fired during the incident.

Police would not say what led to the shooting
None of the victims attended Bay High’s prom, which was previously held on Saturday night.
The victims were all between the ages of 15 and 18. Four victims were taken to hospital by medical helicopter.
The house where the party was held is less than a mile from the Hollywood Casino.
Police say they have arrested 19-year-old Cameron Everett Brand as the sole shooter at the party. He was charged with six counts of aggravated assault and is being held in a Mississippi jail on $3 million bail.
Brand was arrested at his home without incident.
A motive has not been released and police have not said what led to the deadly encounter at the home along the Mississippi coast.
