Horror crash leaves one dead and two fighting for life after six-car pile-up

One person has died and two have continued to fight for their lives after a six-car accident in north-west Sydney.
The multi-vehicle accident occurred at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the corner of Blaxland Road and First Avenue in Eastwood.
The emergency services were immediately called before one of the people involved in the accident died on the spot.

Four people were rushed to hospital, including two women who are in critical condition at the Royal North Shore Hospital.
NSW Fire and Rescue said on social media that three people were trapped in their vehicles after the horror attack.
The photos taken on the spot show how several vehicles were horribly damaged by a collision during the accident.
Those involved in the crash will undergo mandatory blood and urine tests, police said in a statement.
“Officers from Ryde Police Area Command have identified a crime scene which will be investigated by specialist officers from the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit.”
Motorists have been warned of major delays as both roads are closed.
Eastbound traffic on Rutledge Street is currently being diverted onto East Parade, while First Avenue is closed in both directions.
