Sisters posted intimate photos of their father’s mistress on an escort website in revenge for cheating on their mother – but it backfired massively

Two sisters have ruined their own lives by posting nude photos of their father’s mistress on an escort website. One sister faces jail time and the other has been shamefully dismissed from the police force.

Eleanor and Sophie Brown had hatched a plan to humiliate the woman their father Geoff had cheated on their mother with ten years earlier.

The two sisters worked together to post intimate private photos of the woman on an escort website, adding her husband’s phone number, which resulted in him receiving calls from men.

Eleanor, 24 – better known as Ellie – now faces an ‘almost inevitable’ prison sentence after admitting releasing private photos without her consent during her trial at Leeds Crown Court.

In April, Sophie was banned from police work for life after resigning in disgrace over her role in the plot.

Yesterday, a shocked Geoff Brown, 61, who is still with his wife Sarah, 57, at the family home in Wetherby, West Yorkshire, declined to comment when contacted by MailOnline.

Last week the court heard that Ellie Brown, from Morley, near Leeds, uploaded the photos to the website in 2022, along with the phone number of the former mistress’ husband, so people could contact her.

Their actions affected her husband’s business and left the woman with “a deep, sickening sense of complete panic,” the court heard.

The jury was told that her father had an affair with the woman more than 10 years ago while they were both married.

The affair came to light in 2015 when Sarah Brown discovered the intimate photos and videos the woman had shared with her husband during their affair.

But it wasn’t until seven years later, between August and September 2022, that Ellie Brown posted “derogatory comments” about the woman on her husband’s company website.

She then sent him intimate photos of his wife via WhatsApp and posted the woman’s photos on the escort website, after which her husband was inundated with calls and messages.

Prosecutors said it was “a vicious and calculated attempt to exact revenge and inflict suffering.”

Brown even turned to the couple’s daughter, who knew nothing of her mother’s infidelity, and told her, “I will make sure your mother never forgets what she did to my family.”

The woman told the witness stand that she felt “a deep, sickening sense of complete panic” when she discovered sexual images of her had been posted online.

Her husband told the court he understood the sisters were “frustrated” by what had happened, but added he did not understand why they were “determined” to damage the business he ran.

Brown denied two charges of sharing private sex photos without her consent, but changed her plea to guilty just before she was due to present her own defence in the second week of the trial.

Judge Alexander Menary said her guilty plea came “at the last moment and the 59th minute”.

He postponed the hearing pending a verdict next month, saying it was “almost inevitable” she would go to prison “because of the nature of the offence and its persistence”.

She was granted bail ahead of the hearing and as she prepares to serve her prison sentence, her sister is trying to build a new career after West Yorkshire Police found her guilty of serious misconduct.

Sophie Brown resigned as a police officer after the desperate couple she was ‘bullying and harassing’ reported her and her sister’s actions.

A disciplinary hearing in April concluded that she would have been fired if she had not resigned. However, a court ruling ruled that the decision could not be made public until after Ellie Brown’s trial.

Sophie Brown was told at her disciplinary hearing that she encouraged her sister to post the explicit images as an “act of revenge”.

The hearing found that the sisters had engaged in a campaign of “bullying and intimidation” between August 27 and September 8, 2022.

Messages between the sisters revealed that they initially planned to create a profile of the victim on the website Gumtree, where they would post nude photos and offer sexual services for £5.

They then switched to using an escort site and added the woman’s husband’s phone number to the profile.

Sophie Brown admitted exchanging messages with her sister, but denied creating the profile herself.

The panel heard that while many of the actions were carried out by Ellie Brown, Sophie ‘initiated and encouraged’ them.

Police union representative Sergeant Luke Stead told the misconduct hearing that the incidents had occurred over a short period of time and the family were under stress at the time.

Sophie Brown, who interrupted the proceedings several times, said: ‘This wasn’t revenge. We were making fun of her because of the pictures she sent to my father.’

She was found guilty of serious misconduct but acquitted of another charge of racial discrimination, although she did admit to using a racially offensive slur on multiple occasions in phone messages to her sister.

Panel chairman Andrew Clemes said the “messages exchanged were offensive and derogatory” but the context was “unclear”.

The hearing was told that Sophie Brown had resigned from West Yorkshire Police after the allegations came to light, having only recently joined the force.

The misconduct commission found that she would have been dismissed from the police force if she had still been employed.
