Sister without mercy! Hilarious moment when a nun pins a climate activist to the ground as eco-mafia tries to stop construction of new church in France
- A radical eco-mob confronted nuns protecting the site in a standoff that led to clashes
This is the hilarious moment a nun knocks a climate activist to the ground after an eco-mob tried to stop the building of a new church in France.
The video shows the nun sprinting across the muddy construction site of a Catholic center in Saint-Pierre-de-Colombier in the Ardèche and rushing towards one of the activists, grabbing him from behind.
The protester, carrying two large cylinders in each hand as he tries to run away from the nun, loses his balance as the nun grabs him to the ground.
The nun clutches his coat and pulls the eco-protester to the ground in what almost looks like a professional rugby tackle.
The scuffle with the nun forces the protester to release the cylinders in his hands, as he throws them aside, and tries to break away from the heroic sister.

The nun, who also ends up in the mud together with the eco-protester, quickly gets up to think about herself.
The video also shows an eco-vandal stomping on the cylinders to destroy them, leaving debris of broken plastic on the ground before walking away from them.
The protesters had reportedly tried to thwart the planned construction of a new church in France due to its carbon footprint.
According to French news site France 3, the controversial project to build a major Catholic religious center in Saint-Pierre-de-Colombier, in the Ardèche, has been at the center of a tense dispute with climate activists since 2018.
On Monday, October 14, a radical movement called Les Amis de la Bourge confronted nuns protecting the construction site in a standoff that led to violent clashes.

The nuns guarded the site overnight and had fortified the entrances with barricades to prevent demonstrators from sneaking in, as demonstrators gathered for a demonstration from 8am.
According to France 3, Sylvain Hérenguel, co-president of the association for the future of the Bourges Valley, said: “I didn’t expect that.”
He added: ‘I expected the nuns to be somewhat reasonable for public order. The problem is that the religious people decided to resort to violence.
‘I was attacked three times by five people who grabbed me and wanted to throw me out.
“There they decided to protect the place with their actions and their bodies,” he says.
