Sir Rod Stewart will welcome his second grandchild later this year after daughter Ruby announced her pregnancy on Monday night.
The legendary singer, who is already the father of eight children from three marriages and one ex-relationship, confirmed the news in an Instagram post shared with his 1.2 million followers.
Video clips from a gender reveal party at the family home also established that the unborn child is a boy.

On her own social media platform, Ruby, 35, Sir Rod’s daughter with former model Kelly Emberg, posted her first fetal ultrasound and admitted she couldn’t wait to give birth in the spring.
At the bottom of the post, he wrote: “Of all the things that happened in 2022, you were by far the most beautiful… We can’t wait to meet you… Baby Kalick is coming in April.”
The huge Stewart family took to the comments section to wish Ruby and her partner Jake Kalick their congratulations.
His legendary father Rod wrote: “So happy for you two,” while his wife Penny added: “Can’t wait to meet him.”

His mother Alana also added: ‘How wonderful! Very happy for you.❤️❤️❤️’.
Rod’s daughter Renee, whom he shares with his second wife, Rachel Hunter, wrote: ‘Love you guys!’

It comes after the singer recently detailed how his wife Penny is his first wife to experience menopause while still married to him.
The music legend, who married the model in 2007, detailed how Penny introduced him to the struggles women have faced, explaining how she had “blinding rages” while struggling with her symptoms.
