Sir Rod Stewart has secretly renewed his wedding vows for the second time with his wife Penny Lancaster while on tour in Australia.
The legendary singer, 79, arrived Down Under with his wife, 52, last month to play a series of shows, and according to women’s Day magazine found the couple taking some time away from the spotlight to reaffirm their marriage.
The couple, who recently visited Sydney as part of his tour, are reported to have reaffirmed their marriage in recent weeks, surrounded by their sons Alastair, 17, and Aiden, 12, and niece Raphaella, 18.
The couple tied the knot in 2007 and are approaching their 16th wedding anniversary. They previously renewed their vows for the first time to celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary in 2017.
The Maggie May hitmaker “even spread out his tour” so his kids could attend the ceremony, the publication claims.

“There’s a really good reason Rod insisted he spread out his tour dates — it’s the perfect place and the perfect time to renew their wedding vows,” said an old friend.
The friend explained that the couple wanted to tie the knot again years ago, but had to put it on hold.
“Now they can’t wait and are using this opportunity to do something special while they are here,” they added.

The pair were spotted taking a boat into Sydney Harbor last week, sparking speculation about vow renewal.
They later had dinner with Nine entertainment reporter Richard Wilkins.
“Penny and Rod love being in love,” the old friend added.

The couple married on June 16, 2007 in a convent in Portofino, Italy.
They later renewed their vows in 2017, under a beech tree in their home in Essex.
