Their outing comes after Rod admitted that he “tried one or two lawsuits” by booting up footballs on the crowd shows and even accidentally “hit a friend in the face” with a ball.
The musician, who is a Celtic superfan, regularly kicks autographed balls into the audience during performances.
During a new interview on Wednesday, he revealed he was forced to quit the stunt after an incident at the Hollywood Bowl last year.
Rod is currently playing a range of shows Inside the Colosseum at Caesars Palace Vegas, Nevada, but explained how his recent performances have been football-free.
“Sometimes I let the girls do it because they don’t want to hurt anyone. But, you know, I have one or two lawsuits,” he said Las Vegas Review Journal.
Rod continued, “When I arrived at Hollywood Bowl last year, a good friend who came all the way to see me was hit in the face with a ball.
“It broke his glasses. He is still undergoing surgery. It was very upsetting for both of us. I said, “You have to keep your eye on the ball in all sports, mate.”‘

In 2014, Rod was charged with “breaking a fan’s nose” when he kicked a soccer ball into the Las Vegas crowd.
A 53-year-old man from Southern California said he had lingering injuries after his nose was broken by the ball.
Mostafa Kashe’s civil negligence complaint alleges he did not expect to be hit in the face by a ball kicked from the stage by the British singer during a show at the Caesars Palace resort in October 2012.
It comes after Rod gave fans a peek into his dressing room backstage at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, while enjoying a day off from on-site performances on Tuesday night.
The British rocker will take the stage in Sin City on select dates this month before returning in November.
He will entertain fans as he sings a plethora of hits spanning the five decades of his career from his show Rod Stewart: The Hits.

He said, ‘Come to my dressing room. Not many people come back here, but you’re special,” before joking, “I tell all the girls that!”
Sir Rod then walked over to his yellow stationary bike which he said he used to ‘warm up my legs’ on his bike, before posing in front of a microphone stand standing in front of a mirror where he said he warmed up his voice.
He went to his wardrobe and showed his followers what he had hanging on the rack, displaying a myriad of brightly colored outfits in order of what he would be wearing on his show.
