Sir Paul McCartney beams alongside wife Nancy Shevell as he shares sweet Thanksgiving selfie

Sir Paul McCartney took to Instagram on Thursday to celebrate Thanksgiving with his wife Nancy Shevell.

The Beatles star, 80, looked old as he shared the sweet selfie with his 3.9 million followers – showing him taking a walk outside with his New York-born wife.

Despite being from Liverpool, the musician proved he was celebrating the American holiday when he wrote that he was ‘thank you for the love’.

Paul was dressed comfortably in a black t-shirt and zip-up hoodie and shielded his eyes with black sunglasses.

As Nancy wrapped an arm around her chest, dressed in a black zip-up sports top and matching black sunglasses.

The pair both had radiant complexions and Nancy’s dark brown locks were pulled into a low ponytail.

Nancy is Paul’s third wife, having said “yes” to first wife Linda in 1968 and remained married until her death from breast cancer at the age of 56 in 1998.

The couple shared four children, Mary, Stella, James and Heather, Linda’s daughter from a previous relationship, whom Paul legally adopted.

He then started a relationship with Heather Mills in 2000 and got married two years later – before a messy divorce in 2008.

But finally being happily ever after with Nancy, the couple’s wedding had a special significance – taking place at the same venue as Paul’s wedding to Linda.

Nancy is the vice president of her family transportation company, the Shevell Group – she initially crossed paths with Paul over 20 years ago when they both owned homes in the Hamptons.

The legendary music star dated the businesswoman for four years before their intimate nuptials, where they welcomed 30 guests – including his Beatles bandmate Ringo Starr.

Paul recently ran into John Lennon’s lookalike son Julian at New York’s JFK Airport, sharing a selfie with Julian Lennon, the son of his former bandmate.

Julian, 59, took to Twitter to share the photo, shocked at the chance of them crossing paths – which happens to be just weeks away from the 42nd anniversary of his father’s death.

He wrote in his caption, “It’s amazing who you meet in an airport lounge! None other than Uncle Paul…. So, so beautiful, and what are the chances… Grateful…. ❤️.’
