Sir Mick Jagger seemed in good spirits as he watched the New York Knicks beat the Toronto Raptors at Madison Square Garden on Saturday night.

The Rolling Stones legend, 80, cut a calm figure in a black baseball cap as he was joined by his youngest son Lucas, 24.

The father and son both wore black shirts and were spotted chatting and laughing in the VIP seats.

Sir Mick welcomed a double son Lucas with model Luciana Morad Gimenez in 1999.

He also welcomed daughter Karis, 53, whom he shares with actress Marsha Hunt in 1970.

The following year he married ex-wife Bianca Jagger and had daughter Jade, 52.

Jagger also shares four children with ex-wife Jerry Hall, whom he was married to from 1990 to 1997: daughters Elizabeth, 39, and Georgia May, 32, and sons James, 38, and Gabriel, 26.

The singer is also a great-grandfather after his granddaughter Assisi Jackson gave birth to a daughter in 2021.

It comes after the Rolling Stones hired a Tina Turner impersonator as a backing singer for their upcoming Hackney Diamonds tour.

Sir Mick, Keith Richards, 80, and Ronnie Wood, 76, have called on Chanel Haynes to take to the stage during their performances in America.

Chanel is likely to be elated after claiming she was fired from Tina: The Tina Turner Musical in London in 2022 after taking the opportunity to sing Gimme Shelter with the rockers in Italy.

A source said The sun: ‘The Stones had a very close relationship with Tina and Chanel blew them away when she came on stage with them.

‘She ended up losing her job in production because she didn’t want to miss the huge opportunity to sing live with The Stones.

‘Chanel has now been booked as one of their backing singers and will tour America with them in the spring.

“It means a lot to her and the band was happy to be able to help her.”

Before performing Gimme Shelter with the Rolling Stones in Milan, Chanel rehearsed the 1969 song only once.

After singing in front of 60,000 fans at the city’s San Siro stadium in June 2022, she said Rolling stone: ‘The sound they made was like trees in a jungle during a storm. It’s primal, like a war.

‘When that hit my body, all those voices, all those eyes shot into my body.

‘I had to hold onto and own all of that. It was a very surreal experience.”

Chanel announced her departure from the West End musical in which she played Tina Turner weeks later, sharing a note from the production manager on social media saying she had been suspended.

Legendary singer Tina was friends with the Rolling Stones before her death in May this year.

She claimed she even taught Sir Mick to dance, insisting he learned how to dance Pony from her, and the dance was popular in the 1960s.

Tina died ‘peacefully’ at her home in Switzerland in May at the age of 83 after a ‘long illness’.
