Sir Mick Jagger made a rare public appearance with girlfriend Melanie Hamrick and their son Deveraux at NYC’s JFK Airport on Thursday.

The Rolling Stone star, 79, and his partner of nine years, ballerina Melanie, 36, share six-year-old son Deveraux, and live a “full nomad” lifestyle, moving between different homes around the world.

Jagger tried to keep a low profile in sunglasses and a baseball cap as they strolled through the terminal.

He looked casual in a blue T-shirt and gray pants, paired with a black jacket and trainers.

Meanwhile, Melanie looked effortlessly chic in a black midi dress and blazer, while completing the look with stylish sneakers.

She hid her eyes behind stylish shades as she walked hand in hand with son Deveraux.

Jagger may be in for an awkward conversation with his partner after she dropped a not-so-subtle hint about being paired with the famous lothario.

Despite having a child together – one of Jagger’s eight children with five mothers – the two have never publicly discussed the status of their relationship.

Now, in an interview, Mrs. Hamrick says, “I know there have been a lot of, ‘Are they engaged or not engaged?’ I do not care. I am neither here nor there.’ But when he proposed, she said, “I wouldn’t say no.”

Instead of an engagement ring, the ex-ballerina wears an “engagement ring” inlaid with diamonds and sapphires.

Ms Hamrick first met Jagger, then 71, in February 2014 in Tokyo while on tour with her ballet company – she was engaged at the time and Jagger was in a long-term relationship with American fashion designer L’Wren Scott.

Mrs. Scott took her own life less than a month later, reportedly due to debt and business problems.

Mrs Hamrick and Jagger were photographed together a few months later.

She told The Times: ‘One of the greatest things we have in common is the discipline and dedication – his passion for his art and his craft and mine for mine.’

After two years of transatlantic dating, Ms. Hamrick discovered she was pregnant and had to struggle to balance her career as a ballerina with motherhood.

Ms Hamrick and Deveraux have been welcomed into the Jagger family, including his seven other children – the eldest of whom, Karis, is 52 – plus his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Miss Hamrick said, “You’ve collapsed into this world, you adapt, you get used to it and it’s wonderful.” The wider family is said to be so close they all spend Christmas together at Jagger’s home on the Caribbean island of Mustique, sharing a WhatsApp family group.

The clan is also reportedly planning a “massive blowout” to celebrate the singer’s 80th birthday on July 26.

Of her jet-set lifestyle, Ms. Hamrick said, “I enjoy this schedule. I don’t want to be bound. London is my favorite city so hopefully we’ll end up here at some point in the future, but until then I’ll just keep going.’

Jagger had his first child in 1970 with actress Marsha Hunt, now 77. He then married Bianca Perez-Mora Macias – the only one of his girlfriends to whom he is officially married – and had his second child, Jade Jagger, in 1971.

Then the rocker began a 20-year relationship with supermodel Jerry Hall, with whom he had four children.

The couple had a Hindu wedding ceremony in Bali in 1990, but nine years later when they separated, it was found to be legally invalid in the UK.

Their relationship ended when Mrs. Hall found out that Jagger had fathered his seventh child with model Luciana Gimenez.
