Sir David Jason, 84, makes rare appearance at star-studded Only Fools And Horses Musical gala night
Sir David Jason made a rare appearance at the Only Fools And Horses Musical gala evening at the Evertim Apollo in London on Wednesday.
The actor, who played Derek ‘Del Boy’ Trotter in the BBC sitcom, joined cast members including Sam Lupton, Vinny Jones and Paul Whitehouse at the event.
David, 84, wore a bright red zip-up sweater which he wore with a dark brown jacket and beige trousers.
The sitcom star posed for several photos alongside Sam, who plays Del Boy in the musical.
Also attending the show was Penny Lancaster, who looked stunning in a red top which she wore with a matching skirt.
Kelly Holmes opted for a black printed shirt, tucked into silver trousers, while she added height to her frame with a pair of black boots.

Anthea Turner cut a glamorous figure in a black sparkly blazer and matching trousers which she wore with a white shirt.
It comes after David explained that his Only Fools And Horses character has overshadowed his other work.
David told the show that he feels the ‘ghost’ of Derek Trotter following him and explained that he feels the character hovering over him.
He said, ‘That Derek Trotter thing, he’s a bit of a ghost coming after me like A Christmas Carol.’
The star expressed frustration that despite a decades-long career in film and television, he is best known for his role as Del Boy.
He said the character “just holds me back, just kind of upsets me, because that seems to be the only thing people remember me for.”
“I’m really happy in a way that it’s reached so many people and that they’ve enjoyed what I’ve done with the character, but I’ve done so many other things that everyone seems to have forgotten. It’s like I’ve only ever played Derek Trotter.’

David revealed that while he isn’t disappointed with his career, there are still so many goals he hasn’t achieved and attributes that to being followed by the ghost of his most iconic character.
The star explained: ‘My real disappointment or regret, if you like, is that I always wanted to be a National Theater player.
‘I always wanted to be on the stage of the National Theatre. It was just that romantic image of doing those big productions with all those big, great actors. That never happened.’
When host Jon suggested he still had time to fulfill his dream of hitting the stage, Jason responded that his time might be up, explaining that his memory isn’t what it used to be.
He said, ‘Well, you wonder if the old memory would be good enough. I could do it with the autocue stuff.”
But he seemed to shake off his melancholy mood, turned playfully to the camera and said, “Hey! Yes, National Theatre, I am available!’

His admission comes after the star revealed he would be reprising his famous role.
